POF cover letter had 3 tables (Year 1, Year 2, and Summary) showing the breakdown of the cost of attendance and funding. Subheadings were then used to explain each source of funding and bank accounts used.
The POF cover letter can have all the explanations for your POF, so you do not have to replicate it in your LOE, thereby freeing up some space/pages in your LOE.

In your LOE and POF cover letter, don't leave anything to the imagination of the VO. When you allow them to make their own deductions/assumptions, it might not always be in your favour. Explain everything as succinctly as you can.

With the CIBC student deposit program, one can open a Canadian bank account and make a one-time transfer of CAD 1,000 - CAD 20,000 before arriving in Canada, but the transfer has to come from an account bearing your name. You then activate the CIBC student deposit account on arrival in Canada and all your funds are immediately available to u, unlike in GIC.

Some Canadian schools have International Student Advisors (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors) that support international students for free in their study permit application process and beyond. Find out if your school has any and make very good use of them. Some offer regular Q&A sessions, information sessions, phone/video appointments, and support via emails.

Watch lots of YouTube videos on Canada study permit application (step-by-step filling of the online application, LOE, POF, home ties, etc)

I'm very grateful to all those that contribute here on Nairaland. You are doing a marvellous job. There is sooo much information on this Forum. Taking the pains to start from page 1 of this thread is very rewarding. You can always copy/save/screenshot relevant information you may subsequently need, so u won't have to start searching or requesting them later.

I wish everyone speedy processing of applications and continuous rain of PPR!!!

You will have to log into Conestoga college student portal with your username and password to decline any offer already accepted. Yes if you decide to switch program , any deposit made will be automatically transferred to the new program as long as you decline the first offer before the deadline set aside for it.
Lastly for you to accept another offer into a new program you will have to decline the first offer.

Thank you so so much

I wanted to ask if a child under the age of eighteen (seventeen years old) is eligible for an Alberta Health Card. And how can you get one?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you @Kurukuru: I want to add my observation

Nigerians have always misinterpreted the minimum proof of funds requirements on IRCC website.

We only focus on primary information and do fail to read further. Although it is written that minimum one year cost must be shown, we do sometimes fail to understand the word "minimum".

Although in this case, it was concluded that the Appellant would have had to show he had around $136,000 or so: on further analysis, I found out that IRCC was even ready to be linient, the Respondent (IRCC) gave the Appellant a reason for considering the minimum amount of proof of funds, they provided that the Appellant would have had to convince the visa officer that his father had no other responsibility on any one else except him.

"Minimum" can only be considered if the Appellant, in this case, had proven that his father did not have any other responsibility aside him," the Respondent cited that the Appellant failed to make IRCC understand that his sponsor had no other responsibility on siblings and that IRCC doesn't need to ask for explanation.

This means that if you have been showing proof of funds for just one, two or three years out of the four years required and your visa applications have always been approved, you have only always been lucky because the VOs have been showing "mercy" according to the case cited above, you are supposed to show for the entire duration of study and your sponsor must convincingly demonstrate that the fund will be available for only you.

MAY THE MERCY OF THE LORD SPEAK FOR US ALL IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!

LONGGGGGG POST ALERT!!!

Guys I really do not know where to start from!
I'm short of words. God's just too good to fail.
I'm still in shock cause I can't really fathom why my application was this quick or why I was just favoured, but I give God all the glory! For he alone is to be praised!

I've been following this thread for about 4yrs now. Just observing with no plans to submit my application. Was just here for the information basically, and to read people's process (which I enjoyed doing) didn't even know I'd eventually apply.

Time came for me to apply, I was scared to the Bone! I was scared to doing it myself! My sponsor (brother) literally begged me to look for an Agent to handle my application, I was skeptical at first, but I succumbed cause I didn't want any issue or stories that touch.

I contacted an agent on this platform, he charged me 150K for admission and 250K for Visa. My sponsor agreed to pay for the first stage (admission). Las las I eventually paid 190K for only admission!!! Only school admission ohhh!!!

Then it was time for Visa Application, and I was told Visa Fee has increased to 300K. And I was like hell No!!! I no go school? Am I daft? No! I can do this shi# myself. 300K no be 300 naira.

That's how it began, took a leap of faith and decided to do and handle my Visa Process myself, and God blessed me with the GOLDEN Mail (PPR)! Guys please do this stuff yourself!
You can do it! Yes YOU! You can!
There's nobody else that cares about your application than you! You don't need any agents NAIRALAND is the real deal! NAIRALAND taught me everything I know and used to get my Approval.

I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, my timeline goes thus, I used the NEW PORTAL,

Upfront Medicals - 22nd November 2021
Application Submitted - 29th November 2021
Biometrics Completed - 3rd December 2021 (updated same day)
Upfront Medicals Updated - 6th December 2021
Then the wait........................^_^

Then a good man, a blessing, friend turned brother, a brother from another mother, Teemenzo (God bless you for me brother, he has always been with me from the beginning of my application) adviced me to send a mail to Abuja which I did, I eventually, reluctantly sent to everybody (London, Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja) yesterday, 26th of January just to disturb then. Really, nowadays, NSE route doesn't count and IRCC doesn't even ask for it anymore.

You don't necessarily need Police Character Certificate to apply for Study Visa, but if you have it, you can add it among your documents.

For medical examination, you can do upfront medical examination so as to submit with your application: although it is not necessary until requested, if you do it upfront, it can speed up your visa application process

Thank you for your response... I really appreciate. Have heard you about NSE not been hotcakes anymore but how about IELTS exam as requested for NSE route? Though the school I applied for has exempted the provision of English language since my first degree was taught in English.. do I need ielts for student visa again?

Thanks for your contribution. Sorry I am newbie here and hope to gain some experience too..

1. I have a brother that we bear same surname together, can he stand as my sponsor. That is I can use his account statement instead of looking for money up and down...

2. Also if I got the school paid through financing, did I still need to worried about the certain amount in the account or was their any advantage for those that already paid for school fees before applying for visa.

Thank you in advance

Urgent please!!

please has anyone done biometrics recently? Please I want to know between Lagos and Abuja which has slots for June so I'll know where to book for the medical. I intend doing the medical before submitting the application and I don't want to go back and forth traveling.

You can do it in Qlife or IOM ( Lagos or Abuja) those are the only approved hospitals. You can book online on their site.

Please can anyone recommend a college or university for diploma or masters in Journalism or media? I have both BSc and MSc in Management already. And I’ve been working as a journalist for almost 3 years now. Thank you

please can you tell me more how to go about medical examination. How long does it take to get the result and where can I do that, is there any recommended one by the embassy?

Thank you

You'll need to book an appointment with either QLife or IOM (Lagos or Abuja).

On the scheduled date, you may wait for 2 - 5 hours to complete the medical examination.

After the medical exam, the panel clinic will upload your medical exam to IRCC after 3 - 10 days. It may take IRCC 1 - 6 weeks or more to update your profile.

Only QLife and IOM are the recommended panel clinics by the IRCC

Thanks for your contribution. Sorry I am newbie here and hope to gain some experience too..

1. I have a brother that we bear same surname together, can he stand as my sponsor. That is I can use his account statement instead of looking for money up and down...

2. Also if I got the school paid through financing, did I still need to worried about the certain amount in the account or was their any advantage for those that already paid for school fees before applying for visa.

Thank you in advance

1. If he is willing to sponsor you, he can be a sponsor provided you are able to prove this. The onus is on you to prove.

2. If the school doesn't ask for tuition deposit or payment, it is not necessary. Nigerians are always scared hence they panic and think that the payment will go a long way when it's not even needed. Although, some case scenarios warrant payment of tuition deposit or full tuition fee to corroborate some claims and tackle some tricky situations. Professionals and experienced ones know when to do this.

You don't necessarily need to write any exam to apply for Study Visa except requested by your college or university of choice to gain admission.

It's rare of Canadian schools to ask Nigerians to sit examination.

Based on the VO main reason of refusal! The applicant won't have sufficient funds even if he has 30 billion USD in bank balance!
