However real life politics is not straight as the barrel of a gun, it's curvy as the branch of a tree.

Successful countries focus on ensuring the best person in the country top leadership position. Putin of Russia took over power and the country has been soaring ever since. Xi held the chinese top position and china hasn't look back ever since. Politicians who have failed in their current responsibilities should ideally be prevented from competing for presidency. Highly corrupt officials have no reason contesting. Ethnic and religious bigots have no reason contesting. Officials with white washed credentials have no reason to contest. Question is where in this country are we going to find the right candidate ? I personally view that our ideal candidate might be amongst successful Nigerians in the diaspora.

Peter Obi made Anambra state boom in infrastructural development.

Are there not better presidential candidates than Tinubu from the north? But Tinubu is rooting for adoption of zoning to enable a southerner to succeed President Buhari. So how can Tinubu refuse zoning of the presidency among the southern regions, but expects the north to still abide in zoning?

One Northern Russia's region is bigger than 5 of some southern Russia's regions put together.
Countries formed by different regions don't employ land mass or population statistics as yardstick when creating new political units like states or regions in a country.
