Obasanjo defeated Alex Ekwueme, Abubakar Rimi and some other clowns during PDP Primaries. The Presidency was not zoned to Obasanjo's village, he contested against others from different parts of the country.

AD was a Yoruba part formed by Afenifere just as APGA is an Igbo party formed by the Igbo lord Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. So, AD couldn't have presented a Fulani or Itshekiri as its candidate.

2. By competency the SE are the most successful in business and technological innovations

3. By politics they are part of the regions that formed the Nigeria entity, as such you find them holding ministerial positions over time. Now it's best time ever to drive the move for a president from the SE

However real life politics is not straight as the barrel of a gun, it's curvy as the branch of a tree.

Successful countries focus on ensuring the best person in the country top leadership position. Putin of Russia took over power and the country has been soaring ever since. Xi held the chinese top position and china hasn't look back ever since. Politicians who have failed in their current responsibilities should ideally be prevented from competing for presidency. Highly corrupt officials have no reason contesting. Ethnic and religious bigots have no reason contesting. Officials with white washed credentials have no reason to contest. Question is where in this country are we going to find the right candidate ? I personally view that our ideal candidate might be amongst successful Nigerians in the diaspora.

Jonathan did not heed all the calls in 2011, 2015 to respect zoning as practiced by pdp making the pdp to, loose the presidency. Zoning as being practised by pdp is tilted more to the south more than the north.

Point, 1999 there was no primary in PDP the north and country at large as a whole agreed to use a Yoruba man in order to compensate MKO Abiola death. Remember that Ekwueme was part of the founding fathers of PDP.

Are you speaking for the north or the south east? Why not focus on what the south east need to do and not what the south west or north should do. Zoning is between the south and north and it’s now the turn of the south. All interested southerners will contest just as they did in 1999 and 2003.

As regards Peter Obi, what infrastructural boom are you talking about? Can you mention the infrastructures and policies that he rolled out while in office that are still enduring till today?

You fail to recognise that OBJ from the SW region presided over Nigeria, and it's now the turn of the SE to produce a successor to President Buhari. If the SW APC continues to contest to present a successor to President Buhari, but do not support an Igbo for presidential ticket of APC, by the time you start to say Tinubu or Osinbajo, a northern presidential candidate has succeded President Buhari.
