That Britain you undermined is a nuclear nation. US is the leader of the free world. Having a nuclear warhead is one thing, having a mean to deliver them is another. No nation in the world has a delivery system for nuclear warhead than the US. Russia understands this and Putin wont dare to attack any NATO nation.

US is not afraid to fight Russia but NATO is a defensive alliance. Let Putin attempts to attack any NATO nation then you will see the response. Russian army has been exposed as incompetent and ill trained.

Russia has the deadliest and carrier that can bypass detection system.
They have the fastest and most destructive weapons (check) .
US has seen this and that's reason they always thread with caution when dealing with them.
There's also mutually assured destruction. If both go to war, they have sufficient weapons to wipe each other out entirely which means there will be no winner.
The only way US can effectively drop a blow on Russia is by decisive sanctions, and nothing more.

Also, this third world war isn't by soldiers , but by the amount of deadly weapon you have got..... Russia has weapons more than NATO weapons altogether
