you don't respond to a military assault with $2 sanctions. That's not the language they understand. Assuming US responded by occupying a section of Ukraine before the invasion, Putin wouldn't have done absolutely anything. But Putin sent his troops to the border and waited to see any actual US military reaction but couldn't find none, so he went ahead with his programme and then acted like the superior over all when he sensed the huge weakness. Now there are NATO military presence in NATO countries, do you think Putin will be foolish to cross boundary? He won't, because he's got what he wanted and he's happy that his operation has gone according to plan by scaring US and NATO. Now, that's Putin's strength.

They have weapons more sophisticated now , more deadly , it’s better to be seen as weak and save lives than arrogance that would lead to mass destruction, the best way I feel they can tackle Russia is by sanctions for now , more and more and more , and also tbh it’s only God that can help this earth right now

NATO is a defence alliance. The missile struck on Ukrainian soil but close to Poland. US and NATO cant respond otherwise their claim of NATO being a "defensive" alliance will be questioned.

If Putin wants war,, let him hit ANY target within the NATO border then you will see the full military power of the United States and NATO coming to full bare.
