The only lesson learnt from this war is that Nigerians don't understand what patriotism means. Vladimir Putin did what has to be done to preserve Russia. Our leaders have failed us for too long in this country that the average Nigerian don't even know what it means to pay certain prices and sacrifices for the greater good.
I forgive everyone who insulted me on this forum for stating the obvious. Now you have all been disappointed by US/NATO. How do you feel hearing those words from the president of Ukraine. Nairaland Warriors do you know better than Zelensky? Though am not religious, but there is a part of the bible that gets my attention each time I read it. It says "Wisdom is profitable to direct".
This war was unnecessary and avoidable. Putin have been screaming since 2014 after the fall of Viktor Yanukovych's government that was violently toppled by a US/EU instigated coup in Ukraine.
I am appealing to the Nigeria government to declare a state of emergency in the Education sector. This Ukraine war really revealed a lot about our youths and how daft they have become. Something have to be done about the rise of WAEC miracle center and the endless ASUU strike.

It is true that every sovereign Nation has the right to part of any association they deem fit, However while at it, they must not do so, so much as to affect their neighbor. This is because , where one’s right ends, that’s where the right of another begins. Even the S.40 CFRN 1999, which provided for freedom of association also subjected the rights under the section to S.45 CFRN 1999. We all know that allowing Ukraine to join NATO will bring security threat to Russia and in all reasonability, it is only wise for Putin to act as much as he could to prevent such. No one is preventing Ukraine from joining any international organization, but they must not do so as to affect their neighbor(Russia), same way the United States Government wouldn't be comfortable with a Russia military base in Mexico under the guise of “international association”.

This war is beyond Ukraine joining NATO, in 2012 major oil reserves was discovered around Ukraine.

Ukraine also sign a deal with shell and exon mobi for oil exploration, this will make Ukraine become a major competitor to Russia.

The west will rather do oil deal with Ukraine than Russia.

Russia survive on oil exportation to other European countries, with the oil discovered in Ukraine, they are threatening the very survival of Russia.

This is the pure reason for the invasion, some of the reserve was discovered in crimea this was why Russia first invaded and captured Crimea but Ukraine block major water supply to crimea which is seriously affecting Crimea, Russia is extending their invasion into Ukraine so they could solve the water issue in crimea at the same time cover more oil reserve in Ukraine.

This is the whole truth behind the war, Ukraine has not even made a request to join NATO since 2008. Saying they invaded Ukraine because they want to join NATO is a big fat lie by Putin, it's all about the oil and the economy of Russia.

The west do indeed have half of Russia foreign reserve, that's about 300 billion dollars. Mind u Russia economy is not that big. It's almost the same as Spain.
And don't let anyone deceive you, this war us not about Ukraine joining NATO. It's about the oil reserves that was discovered in Ukraine 2012 and Ukrainian deal with shell and exon mobi.

Ukraine would have steal most of Russia's customer, this war is for the survival of Russia economy. The whole deal issue is just to divert our attention from the actual reason for the war

Zelensky should have negotiated with Russia before the war even started. Any sensible would have known that only few countries can defeat Russia in terms of military might and capacity. Now thousands of Ukrainians are dead because of his ineptitude to make a good decision.

There is no need for other tribes complaining that the North has been ruling for too long. Nigeria belongs to the Fulani and other tribe should learn to deal with it....
