Look at Canada, USA and France. In Sporting events World Cups, Olympics, etc they field the blacks and they always make them proud. Any section or tribe in the country that are masters in a particular field give them the job. It's a collective glory for the nation. But jealousy no go gree una.

He resigned as a failure

1. As a player in USA 1994 world cup, He faulted the Italian player that resulted to a penalty kick that threw Nigeria out from that tournament.

2. As a Coach, He failed to qualified Nigeria for the 2006 world cup

3. As a Coach, He failed to qualified the Nigeria U23 team in 2012 for the Olympics

4. As a Coach again, He failed to qualified Nigeria for the 2022 world cup

Which party does he belong? Can you guess?

Nigerian football is a reflection of society at large! every ill you see in Nigerian society is manifested in our football!

Also, if Eguavoen had any form of decency in him, he should have resigned immediately after the first leg at Ghana.

In fact he should have resigned immediately after AFCON. It was glaring that he wasn't good enough. But always talking about how he would bring back Nigeria form of attacking football. He's a saboteur.

Abeg getttat. Football Buhari ...

I am of the opinion that the individual international footballers themselves has problem with their knowledge of the round leather game.

Are they not international footballer who are supposed to know how to score?

FORGET EGUAVOEN AS A COACH.

Even if the coach is inexperienced they the player should be good to themselves and the national team.

See how Sodiq was wasting scoring chances in the African cup of nations.

Come to the world cup qualifier see how Osimen was wasting scoring chances.

Even if Nigeria get the best of all the coaches we still can not make headway as long as the player themselves lack cohesion and they lack football intelligence.

It is not every skill a coach can impact on the team.

The scoring chances lies with each individual player.

Long overdue ! He is not comptent at all. Technically lax. He did not in any qualify to coach any team.

He should be officially removed
Picknic should sacked too
Sooet minister Dare should go too
The totality of the football manament in the country should be removed too

A secondary school coach would have done better. On Tuesday .

Modem football left Eguavoen in 2002. Eguavoen have no business caching the Super Eagles no to yslbof handling a key position as a Technical Adviser in the NFF.

In Nigeria we reward mediocrity & incompetence.

See the credentials of evuavon, technical director of super eagles

As a player in USA 1994 world cup, He faulted the Italian player that resulted to a penalty kick that threw Nigeria out from that tournament.

2. As a Coach, He failed to qualified Nigeria for the 2006 world cup

3. As a Coach, He failed to qualified the Nigeria U23 team in 2012 for the Olympics

4. As a Coach again, He failed to qualified Nigeria for the 2022 world cup

No wonder he could not reorientate and organise the team well for 2022 world cup qualification
He left many forwards on the bench and he wanted to win

Stupid coach

The job of football coach or manager is result-driven. It doesn't matter if you are Jose Mourinho, Gerhort Rohr or Austin Eguavoen.

As for Gerhort Rohr, he contributed to this mess because he kept inviting new players for each match. As a result, apart from our backline, we don't have fixed midfielders and attackers who combine effectively and efficiently as FIRST ELEVEN. There was no first team stability. Eguavoen met this blunder and lacked the experience and time to put it in place.

Whoever is taking over whether indigenous or foreign should first work on our style of play and most effective way to combine the talented players we have. We have talented players who can't play as a team. Sad.

You are right!
It shocks me how a team with such offensive depth didn't have a binding midfielder to connect attack, as soon as Wilfred Ndidi was out, I knew the midfield problem was exposed. To make matters worse, for 15 minutes Nigeria played with 3 out and out strikers, yet nobody had the technical ability to feed a searching pass to them...

No quality freekick taker in that squad, 4 crucial freekicks wasted.

It bothers me how players were scouted... was it that in the whole Nigerian league, no offensive Midfielders with vision, physicality and passing abilities were seen?

Eguavon have achieved absolutely nothing in coaching both locally and internationally compared to some nigerian coaches like amuneke. I don't know the criteria corrupt amuju pinnick used in picking him to coach the super eagles? It's obvious the SE lost the match with Ghana from the bench the SE have better established players than the ghanians but still lost out the black stars obviously have a better organized technical bench.

Quite expected. He is tactically deficient.
Wasn't too excited when I saw our much-changed lineup for that 2nd leg. Gave me the impression Eguaveon has tendency to succumb to public opinions/pressure & that's not a quality of a good coach.

But when will Mr Failure himself resign?
I actually want to ask about that man in the picture

Re: Austin Eguavoen Resigns As Super Eagles Technical Adviser by Princeadex04: 12:49pm On Mar 31, 2022
The second statement wasn't right, Christian Chukwu was in charge when we failed to qualify for 2006 World Cup. Christian Chukwu was sacked immediately after we drew against Angola and failed to qualify for 2006 world cup and was replaced by Eguaveon who then took us to 2006 AFCON in Egypt. The other statement made are valid.

My guy, good write up, but the truth is that Nigerians are arrogant and dem no sabi play ball. The players feel say them good but they are all average players. Even the average nigerian fan in the street is arrogant and everyone sabi pass coach. Nigeria lacks players with basic football skills and technical ability and this is a grassroot problem. To the average nigerian na who do gri gri na him sabi play ball.

At least, he could resign after failing but Nigerian political office holders never resign even after back-to-back failures.
