The govt is building airport which will provide job opportunities, you are here screaming what Ebonyi needs is job. So how will he provide the jobs? By simply enrolling you into the payroll and be paying you for doing nothing?

What the indigenes need is conducive atmosphere to earn cool living and that conducive atmosphere is the provision of basic amenities. Dave Umahi has performed creditably in this regard.

No govt will bring money and food physically to your door step. That airport will provide both direct and indirect employment to youth who have brains and that is the money and food.

How jobs go come without a way of bringing those Jobs to Ebonyi. To run an airport could take at least 500 people. Those are jobs which locals can snatch up.

Baggage Handlers
Plane cleaners
Food Providers
Air Traffic Control
Security
Plane Fuel loaders
Plane Carriers maintenance etc
Without even talking about shops around the airport and development which it brings.

What’s next is for those youths to get a certificate course and when preparation jam opportunity = success.

Airport brings food, jobs and much more.

It is not the job of the Government to provide jobs, else it will not be sustainable leading to bloated payroll, they just need to provide the enabling environment for the private sector to create jobs and building Airport is one of those enablers.

My brother, everywhere all around the world, government does not directly provide the majority of jobs for the populace. The jobs are usually provided by the private sector. This is done by way of investment. Either FDI (foreign Direct Investment) or LI (local investment). What attracts FDI or LI is infrastructure, among other things such as ease of doing business, security, policies, etc. If Ebonyi makes the state conducive with good infrastructure, then investment will come which will provide jobs. That is why the people you claim are running to lag to hawk are going there. Without Airport, sea ports and the FDI in lagos, there will not be jobs there in the 1st place. I hope you see my point.
