I sought for people's opinions about staying back to work in the southwest with an average pay or work in Gombe that pays up to twice than the southwest.

I'm currently working in Gombe and the place is kinda dope for the Northeast setting. Transportation and food prices is cheap. I was even surprised to see the state has a good road network.

But the heat is sometimes unbearable.

Overall I'll give the state a 6/10.

i am not sure you know much about Gombe state because if its not the safest state in the northeast then it should be one of them

GOMBE is one of the safest state in the North East or Nigeria at large. You will hardly hear of any killing like it take place in other part of the country. Though like any state in Nigeria it also have problem of kidnapping...

Aside the unpleasant descriptions attributed to the North, it's actually a habitable place.

You do well. Truth is not all parts of the North are unsafe. The unsafe parts are just about 5% if you look at it. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be careful. Don’t waka anyhow and lead a less flamboyant lifestyle at least for the time you’ll be there.

remember when I plannes visiting abuja n online friends said its cheap to stay there..
I planned visiting for 3 days bt after I read online opinion, I increase my stay to 1 month..
after I stay for asokoro wit d dangerous prices of commodities, I leave abj a broke man after 4 days n I realized dt abuja isn't meant for d broke me..

I always laugh at some of you people from the south who think the north is backward. We have everything for good life just that the insecurity is only problem but Gombe is still safer than Lagos and the whole south

That's good! don't listen to anybody that says shit about north they've never been there, the North is relatively safe especially in the main cities. The main danger is on highways and outskirts of town, just like anywhere in Nigeria.

I bet you're going to have a great time there, because gombe is beautiful and the people are nice.
