I was thinking they’d ban fans from live matches for a year to serve as a lesson.
Instead of getting money from NFF
Those agberos in Abuja will do it again if given the chance.
Exactly...I was thinking the same as well, and this was the same case that lead to the death of one Ghanian associates...

World soccer ruling body, FIFA, has imposed a 150,000 Swiss Franc fine on Nigeria following the unruly behaviour of fans at the end of the second leg Qatar 2022 World Cup play-off between the Super Eagles and Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on March 29.

The match which ended in a 1-all draw sealed Ghana's qualification to the World Cup later this year. Alongside the fine, the Country will play one home game without spectators.

FIFA Media

Over 30 Countries were also fined over different infractions during the World Cup Qualifiers.

Stop spreading fake news
The man died of cardiac arrest before the match ended. His death had nothing to do with the chaos caused by fans
Do your research before making statements

Something triggers cardiac arrests most often than not...I didn't mention the erractic fans killed him directly, but he slumped on his way to the lockers after the chaos.

If it were in saner climes, Nigeria not qualifing for the world cup couple with this FIFA sanction, the sports minister and the entire NFF Amaju Pinnick led board would have tendered their resignation with an apology letter to the country.

It’s not the supporters club fault
Due to the turnout in Ghana
NFF threw the match open to every Nigerian so that they could fill the stadium, thinking the fans will cheer on the Super Eagles.
Nigerian fans are weird; just take a look at how North African & Senegalese fans go to any length to support their teams.
Senegal should have been fined because their fans used laser torches to disturb Egyptian players vision.
Most of those street unenlightened abokis in Abuja went there to cause chaos because we didn’t win.
FIFA should have banned Nigeria fans from live home matches for a year in addition to getting money. Sadly only the NFF will bear the brunt of this penalty
The Nigerian government not educating its citizens seems to be what will eventually destroy this country

Fans unruled behavior was caused because of favouritism in sports cycle that caused super Eagles place in Quatar 2022....NFF staffs and cohorts suppose to pay the fine.
