An unconfirmed leak is what we have here. And it doesn’t help that people read the title and fly on to debate and defend without even reading the article. They don’t even realize that the thread title contradicts the article posted under it.
I am not concerned about naira land I know that overtruning Roe has disastrous consequences for every other rights not explicitly stated but covered by the 14th amendment

A few things here;
First, Biden is not an antichrist.
Secondly, Biden is not in support of the ruling.
Lastly, the court is yet to rule on Abortion.

Thank you! Please say it again for those who lack reading comprehension!

It’s debatable but basically, I agree. If this comes to pass, it’ll backfire and the bench will be crowded with cases created by the blowback.

Exactly what every rational person is saying.

It is not about abortions but other decisions with the same basis as Roe that previous justices affirmed in the past.

I think you and I have already noted how the supposed leak has things in a frenzy. Let’s see if the court goes through with it or cowers away from it.

Biden is a big time supporter of Abortions. It was because Trump appointed three supreme court justices that gave the conservatives the majority to overturn the abortion law.

Overturning abortion access is a step too far.

* Meanwhile if a woman abortes her child it should be see as legal.

The LGBTQ cult society are the ones pushing this abormination. First they started with Same Sex, then moved to Transgender, and now abortion, after that watch and see how they will push for incest to be legalized. Their members are in high governmental positions to help fulfil their goals.

The funniest thing is the men and women out protesting already supported the republicans until they realized how giving them their support would effect them on a personal level. They thought backing Trump was so funny but now the jokes on them. Hillary Clinton is somewhere laughing at them.

The ban will not be respected did these conservatives think it through that women can be jailed for wanting to have rights over their bodies.

Arrant nonsense, each state will be free to make their laws on abortion just like the constitution said. Roe vs Wade was an anomaly and it's about time it got kicked to the curb. And you WILL abide by the laws made by the states, you rants on the internet are irrelevant.

What he wrote is very apt, why charge people for double homicide if you believe a baby in the womb is nothing but a clump of cells? If you truly believe that the baby in the womb is a living being then abortion amounts to legalized murder.

Fake news. They haven’t yet voted on it yet. It’s a draft opinion by one of the justices that was leaked by someone. Probably to gin up public pressure to stop the actual voting or influence it.

What if it is rape, what if this, what if that.

99.999% of abortion are done for selfish reasons. Abortion shouldn't be a form of contraceptive just because you want it raw.

We are not all saints, but openly supporting this utter act of evil shows how troubling the future if humanity will be

Really? Do you realize that in the event of a total ban if a 12 year old girl is raped by a mentally ill stranger and becomes pregnant, she will be forced to give birth to that baby? Do you realize that giving birth at that age under those circumstances would ruin her life? In that scenario, who will raise the baby? Incest? The mother’s life in danger and the state refuses to opinion of the physician? I guess it’s better for girls and women to suffer and die while children with no one to care for them to be born.

There are many "special circumstances" that might even be deemed as valid grounds for abortion.

Examples are malformed foetuses, acephaly, Spina bifida, downs syndrome, ecclampsia (which will kill both mother and baby), etc.

Rape is terrible whether it leads to conception or not.

However, that being said, I am not sure if killing the baby thus conceived will make things totally better for the rape victim, but then, anyone can argue about it.

The rapist is the bad person, he should be dealt with. What did the baby do to deserve to be killed? The worst such a girl can do is to give out the child for adoption. That child can even become a source of joy to a childless couple somewhere.

The things you guys are trying to say are the same is like saying Nigeria is the same as Alaska. You’re comparing a man committing a crime by maliciously assaulting a woman, causing her to lose a baby to a woman having agency over her own body. That kind of thinking will keep you guys in the dark ages forever.

What are you saying? Abortion is already illegal in Nigeria. This ruling does not ban abortion it just removes the federal mandate and leaves it up to each state to decide their own abortion law.

The child can become a joy for someone else if the mother chooses to give the child away. Before the Roe vs Wade decision, women went to back alley doctors and had illegal abortions which would often fail resulting in a severely disabled child being born and sometimes the mother dying. Even if all of the states choose not to outlaw it, you’ll have huge amounts of girls and women resorting to unsafe methods adding to social problems that others will be tasked with finding solutions for.
Devil’s Advocate: do you live in Nigeria? If you do then maybe you know that whether or not people accept it, the country is starting to suffer from the negative effects of overpopulation and the continued growth is not sustainable. Just as it’ll soon be impossible to feed every baby born, who will provide for them when the people they are born to don’t have the means?

You are the person in the dark. I asked you a simple question, is the baby in the womb a living being or not? If it is, then abortion is murder as it amounts to taking a person's life without their consent. If on the contrary the baby in the womb is not a living being then people should not be charged with homicide for the death of babies in the womb. Grievous bodily harm maybe but definitely not homicide. The baby in the womb is either a living being or not, the definition of that can't change as it suits you. If that baby in the womb is a living being then it's no longer about a woman having agency over her body because another person's body and life is also involved.
