That's very simply because Jonathan was in PDP and there was no other party even 30 percent as strong as PDP then (in 2011).

But i think that both major parties should zone to the South.

The main confusion is coming from PDP;

APC looks ready to zone to the South but PDP don't mind zoning to the North as long as they grab power.
