i thought this type of connection is for two TVs.abeg explain more cos is becoming too mathematical.

Please house, a friend's of mine's reciever does not power on. I mean when been switched on it shows a standby dotted lines that never changes instead of a passing one. No numbers just the lines. And it doesn't show on Tv. Please is there anything I can do? Reciever model is Strong 4669xii. Thanks in anticipation.
