I bought C/Ku lnb. My aim was to track arabsat 5c & eutelsat 21B (MBC Movies) with 1.8 meters at Benin city. It was a futile effort as MBC refuse to pop up. The strong C/ku band couldn't get Irib either but it got Aljazeera channels

House pls, my CRTV channel on Amos is displaying a dollar sign (meaning its not free) and its not showing but signal's green. Is there any BISS Key to open it? As they also show champions league as well. Thanks

The signal strength of d aljazera must be up to 80% for MBC channels to pop up

What about those with the Multi TV decoder itself (am not talking abt strong decoder) hw do they go about watching TV3?

The highest Aljazeera tp can get in Benin City is 68% on 1.8 meters. That means up to 2.4 meters is needed to get Eutelsat 21B here.

u guys should not mind this man called graphicicon. I called his line n eventually I realize he does not know anything about satellite. Mytv can only be watched using srt hd 4940 or srt sd 4675. Other receivers may be able to read their smartcard but will not open their channels because mytv is using decoder-smartcard pairing system just like dstv. The sw 144p he talks about is an outdated software for srt 4922. Sw 163p is d latest which can also read different smartcards.

Mpeg 2 is becoming useless as long as satellite TV is concerned. Go get yourself Mpeg4/HD decoder. There are MBC movies HD on badr 5 but they are all scrambled

hello house! Correct me if am wrong, the MBC on 21B is been broadcast through a multistream transponder which require a stream enable decoder to nail it though the footprint is closer but you need the right tools to do the job. Cheer

Here is my kind advice for all newbies. Don't only come to the forum to ask questions but be a contributor. Put forward an xtral effort to make research on your own so that u can know basic things about tracking a satellite, encryption system, picture encoding, band, tp, footprint, branded and unbranded decoder, make use of google put your brain to work and i bet you in 1day you will better off laggard graphicicon. Its a pity the poorboy can't hide to us his hungry.

Please am having difficulty identifying dish sizes, wats the size of dstv dish?
