I have a cursin who once had something exactly like what you described. It happened when were in secondary School and this was about 20years ago, the guy never worried nor did he go to any hospital and today he's strong and healthy. Erase that thought of cancer from your mind, visit the doctors and follow their advice.

Good afternoon Nairalanders.
Please I need your input on the predicament I found myself in.

Roughly 3 months ago, I discovered something like a lump in my breast the left side precisely but it wasn't painful if not pressed. Initially, I didn't see it as something serious until clear fluid began to show on the nipple when pressed and the size of the lump seems reduced when water is being squeezed out.

3weeks after the discovery, I went to see a Medical Doctor in a Federal University Health Centre where I'm schooling. I narrated my ordeal to her and asked me to pull off my T-shirt for her to see the lump in the breast which I did.

She did visual check only. No examination or anything. she said it nothing to worry about that it normal.

She then asked of my age? Told her I'm in my mid-twenties (was specific when telling her tho). Her response was that it normal. Then I told her about some researches I made on the internet, that I think it should be normal if am still in my teens prolly because of puberty. Her response was still the same couldn't believe my ears.

Later told her about the nipple discharge (clear liquid) coming out when pressed. She laughed it off and said maybe it breast milk. I was very vexed and told her what's that suppose to mean, saw the vexed look on my face she then apologized that she didn't mean that way that's normal. She asked if it painful? I said no if not pressed and she gave the same response as usual.

It has been over 2months now I met the Medic but can't get it off my mind. The thought of the lump being cancerous that it'll better if the lump is examined on time has been on my mind ever since then.

Please Medics/Health Practitioners come to my aid, is the Medical Doctor right about lump not being cancerous?

Pls pardon my grammatical errors.

let's be realistic bro...so if I have malaria fever now and I keep telling myself that it might be cancer, it was ill eventually turn cancer? I want to get the point.
Or if someone has HIV and keep believing it is typhoid fever, it will shift from HIV to typhoid fever.....

The truth is thoughts are things.

Millions of people are where they are in life today because of how they think.

If you constantly see failure...the law of attraction will prevent you from doing anything to change your condition.

HIV will never turn to typhoid neither can malaria turn to cancer.

What I'm saying is if you keep thinking negativity it attract negativity into ones life.

If you have cancer and let negativity cloud your judgement that you'll die then no matter the medication given your mind prevent it from working...this is a fact.

Placebo are given to cancer patients and they recoverd.
Placebo are just saline solution.

The mind is incredible use it wisely.

Pls what does hard swelling under the arm pit mean

That is an inflamed lymph node and it occurs when anti-bodies are fighting off viral infections. You also have them underneath your jaw and groin.

You should go to a histopathology lab or hospital that has histopathology unit, most likely a teaching hospital. They'll most likely conduct FNAC test on you to determine what that lump is.
Re: Could This Lump In My Breast Be Cancerous? by Druzor1: 3:22pm On May 25, 2022
Am a doctor dear. From your history the condition u r having appears benign i.e nothing to worry about. Most adult male btw the age of 11-25yrs will always feel a painless mass around the nipple that discharge a clear fluid when pressed. It is very common. U can ask your peers at the hostel. If u have met me I would have laughed at the anxiety in your face just like the doctor did angry.
Male also have breast cancer but it is very very very rare. When it occurs it will present with alarming symptoms such as pain , loss of weight , enlarge breast etc. So calm down if u have seen a doctor before. No sane doctor will miss the diagnosis of a breast cancer even if na medical student. If u feel like talking to a doctor for free u can wassup me at 09066718503

Speaking from experience and having gone through the same procedure twice now, first on the right breast 7yrs ago, and second on the left breast last year. Just go to a good hospital and meet an oncologist. If it is painful, you have nothing much to worry about, might be cyst or mastitis. Long story short, it's gonna cost you though, but to be on the safe side, go through subcutaneous mastectomy. It's a long process if you go to all these government and public health centers in Nigeria, but a very good private hospital in Nigeria will handle it well. Can recommend the ones that treated mine back then
