Whether this is a speculation or not, but what I can tell you is that Osibanjo is the natural successor to the president. That's in accord with global best practices. As long as the vice president is interested in contesting the 2023 election, he even has the right of first refusal within the APC itself. In fact, it's a huge insult to have others wanting to succeed the president when he've made it clear he wants to succeed the president. |

We have another story telling us that Goodluck Jonathan is likely going to be the consensus candidate for the Party. So which is a more truthful story now |

.... This game would be won along Religious and Regional line. Religious wise, Yemi Osinbajo has a bigger political capital compared to Bola Tinubu. Majority of the Christians would vote for him across all regions. And as for Regional votes, Buhari's support would deliver the North to Osinbajo as Atiku and Kwankwaso have already fragmented the North. Coming to the South, Osinbajo would enjoy the support of his people in the South West and also enjoy the support of the Christians in South East and South South. Some Easterners won't even vote for Obi because he is seen as a stingy man. Osibanjo being a weaker personality compared to Tinubu would be appealing to the oligarchies in Nigeria as he would allow status quo to continue. They can cage him with god or Adeboye with Hell Rufai closely watching him as the Vice President. Muslim - Muslim ticket of Tinubu won't sell for now. They can promise him second term while Osinbajo steps down for him or they expose his corrupt deeds to bring him down. Which would be a lie anyway. They would never hand over to a strong man. In any case, Osinbajo/El Rufai or Zulum ticket mathematically speaking is APC's best bet for them to win the next election. But that is if the Judgment does not start before then. |

TheNiceGuy: Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself that question again? The you in the mirror will laugh at your delusion. For Buhari to pick Tinubu as his successor, he will rather elongate his tenure or hand over to a stone. It seems you don’t know that Tinubu and Buhari’s alliance has outlived its usefulness. And the president believes that he has compensated Tinubu enough with several important appointments to his numerous political children. Better believe what you are reading. Buhari wants to leave on a high note, which to him means picking a reputable, honourable successor. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sincerely speaking , every success without a good successor is a failure . The president must be interested in who takes over from him so as to complete the laudable capital projects that are ongoing in the country.. If not , railway and other infrastructural facilities expansion works will stop and we shall be back to square one.. |

Never Trust this man. He has last one year to show case his preferred successor without hinges, he neither lift a finger nor raise a voice to actualize this. At the death of time, he woke! From slumber to search for a successor. Intelligent people knew what he wants. Continue domination of other ethnic groups and nothing more. Who ever take a 419 so serious is like a Zebra Dancing at a naming ceremony organize by a Lion. When the Zebra ended in a cooking pot, there is no need to cry me a river. |
