coded guy:

At the risk of sounding boastful, i dont see injuries stopping us.

Any team that would want to wrestle the title from UNITED must be consistent and clinical this term.

If we meet Barca again, i would suggest playing the likes of welbeck, cleverly, young, nani, ando, park and rooney. lets see what will happen.

Guys that can harry around and have energy. Valencia, chicharito and fletcher will also be available.

Barca will still have the edge, but i will be more confident.

we trounced them in america in a game they were desperate to win under the noses of 80,000 fans.
cleverley and anderson battered barca to a pulp and their harrying led to the 2nd goal that owen scored.

barcelona actually have a weakness too - their defence is very weak but they dominate possession so much that you just have to take all the few chances that come your way. only a clinical team can beat barcelona. 4 chances, 3 goals and you win the game. teams who squander chances would get punished.

^^ 2-1 in a fairly even contest, though we were d better side, wouldn't qualify as a "trouncing". And considering they just trounced us in d ucl final a few months before, I doubt they were desperate to win.

^^
I think barca's saving grace against us is that everytime we've played them after 2008 we have always lacked our bulldog in the middle of the park. In 2008 we had hargreaves and they no see road dribble till scholes nearly killed valdes with his rocket. The last two meetings fletcher has missed them. This time if barca come up against us with anderson and fletcher they will sweat blood

A quick one from Opta Joke's Twitter handle: Ryan Giggs won 11 trophies during the 8 yrs he slept with his brother wife,Natasha amounting to one-thirds of the total trophies(33) he has won in club football!
Now that's what i call a player!! shocked cool grin

Yeah yeah . . no team is invincible but i don't see Man Utd beating Los Blancos with Mou on the sidelines!

man utd slaughtered mourinho's inter in 08/09. mourinho's team did not score 1 goal in 180 mins of football.
jose mourinho's front six are very good but the back four are all mediocres. . . . .unless jose packs the bus, i expect rooney-nani-chicharito and young to destroy real madrid. it would be fun watching carvalho having a foot race with chicharito. grin

They usually have a few gaffes. Have you seen their "predicted" Chelsea lineup for the weekend? It has Romeu and the like cheesy

i posted it on nateevs' thread. . . .
it actually depends on the lies villas-boas told the sports journalists. . . . .nothing to do with the journos.

ferguson tells porkies, wenger too.
they know a player is fit and ready to play but they tell you he won't be ready in two weeks. . . only for the same player to start a match!

what then do you expect the journalists to print?
they go with what they hear in those press conferences. . . .blame the managers, not the journos.

SAF clearly specified he would not drop anyone of d back four that started our last 2 games, so Rio won't play. Otherwise that is likely to be d starting eleven.

De Gea; Jones, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra,; Nani, Anderson, Cleverley, Young; Rooney, Chicharito

Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by montelik(m): 5:33pm On Sep 10, 2011
Smalling was busy during d internationals so its wise to rest him. A bit surprised its Jones at rb not Fabio.

Why SAF dey like wicked Da Silva twins?
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 6:43pm On Sep 10, 2011
Because Jones is a beast. setup two goals already as you can see.

rafael has a dislocated shoulder and he said fabio was not a good choice for the brutal nature of Bolton.
was even considering dropping De Gea for this one.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 8:00pm On Sep 10, 2011
There was no chance De Gea was getting dropped for this. That was all media B.S.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by montelik(m): 9:07pm On Sep 10, 2011
^^^ Don't mind d useless media. They keep constantly trying to make d guy seem like some leaking basket. Yet he has d most saves of all GK going into this weekend and now 2 clean sheets.
