Indian locals were left horrified by an attack in which a stray Leopard pounced on six villagers in Prakash Nagar, West Bengal. After a lengthy pursuit through the village the leopard was killed by two shots at close-range after attempts to tranquillise the startled animal failed. Sources suggest one forest guard was critically injured while the others were hurt less seriously. Another example of how wildlife is suffering at the hands of mankind, we're destroying the land and oceans as we go along. Not so long ago wild elephants were attacking the people of Mysore, India because of encroachment, Its something thats out of control at this point and sadly we're going to see more and more of this happening, Humans and animals are paying the price. I do believe that we should respect the territory of wildlife - particularly that of an endangered species. There are both sides to this story and Its sad. What an absolutely beautiful creature :-( |
