We are hoping Sunusi will be reinstated as an emir.

Same thing happened to his grandfather. His grandfather was deposed too. He was forced to resign and as tradition demand, he left Kano (banished). I was told that his grandfather warned that none of his children should become emir or else there will suffer the same fate. Sanusi suffered same thing his grandfather suffered.

Fuel subsidy is expected to be removed next month or in May before President Buhari leaves office on May 29, 2023. Stakeholders in the Nigerian oil and gas sector have asked Nigerians to prepare to buy petrol at a rate of N750/Litre when the subsidy is removed.

How are you preparing for life after fuel subsidy removal?

Tinubu might reverse the decision on June 1. Let's wait and see what the incoming government will do regarding that.

According to Ben Jones, the British Deputy High Commissioner to nigeria.

"the strength of Lagos is its diversity, & if Lagos can't be that kind of cosmopolitan melting pot of culture & language & all the things it should be, then really how is Lagos going to succeed?"

Subsidy on fuel will still be removed sooner or later. The humongous funds spent on subsidizing fuel aren't sustainable in the long run.

However, I suggest the government delays the subsidy removal until later in the year and use the next few months to prepare palliatives for the masses.

When will Tinubu muzzle FFK or throw him out the party? He done yarn reach UK attention. Tinubu would not want his Govt and party to be labelled one of bigots. Once UK label you, goodwill will erode

If he or Buhari tries to remove the fuel subsidy in the next couple of months, Nigeria go boil. There will be chaos and anarchy because many Nigerians are angry and just recovering from the menaces of cash shortages and fuel hikes.

The wiser decision is to delay the removal till later in the year and use the coming months to prepare palliatives measures to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal on Nigerians.
