phemmyfour:If you are good in frying stuffs for food, you will notice that used vegetable oil doesn't taste really good when reused, the taste alone will deter you from doing that next time, and besides Transformer oil has this distinctive smell, so there is no way you cannot notice that awful smell and taste in any food prepared with it. 1 Like |

The prevailing unprecedented hardship across the land has hardened the hearts of most Nigerians who now device various crafty and inimical practices to keep body and soul together even at the detriment of fellow citizens. In the present desperate attempt at survival, the scriptural doctrine of being one's brother's keeper sounds like a fairytale in the practical realm of reality. The harmful effects of their evil activities and actions as they affect even the health of their own fellow citizens have no place in their mindset provided their bread is buttered. God1000:The problem is not even the buying but having a change of attitude as Nigerian. Imaging how do we explain the motive behind buying empty devon king oil, mamador gerrycans and the rest. These wicked people has a way of filling them with adulterated contents and push them back to the market. If you are very close to those selling palmoil in the market you would realise the level of atrocities been perpetrated by them how do you explain mixing the old blue Omo and colour with palm oil? This country just dey stand on one leg ooo 1 Like |

Nnannapat: Oga say what you know. Now you are claiming to know more than the so called expert and? You are claiming that a drum of used (condemed) transformer oil goes for over 300k, so why is it still very expensive when it has been used already? Mind u, things are so so expensive now in this country. One ragolis bottle of groundnut oil now is above 1k. So anything is possible. |

They mix the vegetable oils with the transformer oil, the oil contains a compound called PCB, Polychlorine Biphenyls, it has high temperature resistance, its odorless and doesnt degrade. Beware of all those yellow vegetable oils that sell for cheap, they could have been mixed with the oil. Dont trust those buns sellers too, if they have their way they can even use engine oils too. |

Mogbe! Transformer oil. That's PCBs. A chemical that chat can cause so many health issues from cancer, hormonal inbalance, sterility issues, etc. I did my grad studies on bacteria that biodegrade this killer chemical. Go ask people in certain parts of the US what damage this chemical did to them. |
