They happen to have many children... and the children almost always manage to grow to adults .... and contribute more to society than the few children of the rich that do more harm to society.

This reminds me of an episode of Justice Court on YouTube, the woman complained about the husband of not caring for the kids and the judge asked her why she is still giving birth to more when the husband has always been like that, her answer was "no be as person dey stay with husband, them go dey do and Belle dey come" the judge weak and told her she should go learn about family planning.

Arguably, the prime cause of poverty is illiteracy and most times, only illiterates and poor family give birth to multiple children thinking one of them will be successful to lift the family out of poverty, that is the higher the number of children, the higher the chance of having a successful child.

You might have to extend your assumptions to the environment too, some just dey photocopy children yearly like printing and photocopying business up here.

There's this funny conjecture or belief that God who gave the children will also provide food for them. To me, that's one of the worst form of thinking I've heard in my life. Papa wey no get better hustle fit house 4 women dey knack dem steady dey produce children anyhow con dey wait for government aid to train those children.

The poor ones get confirm problem sha.

This is a big problem, especially in this country I don't know for other countries, giving birth to countless children inside poverty and waiting for them in future to buy car and build house in return.

You actually got it all mixed up. Like the OP said, your promiscuous “rich man” can have his harem but you will be shocked sex is not more than 5/10 mins most times with protection.
Your point on illiteracy is spot on. The poor are more ensnared by dogmas and archaic beliefs which leads to more children.
Are you aware that King David as an old man was given a young virgin to attend to his needs? The Bible was careful to note that they did not have sex! Check your Bible, I didn’t make it up.
Have you had a nagging partner before? The reason some of these men are not looking forward to coming home is the type of woman waiting for him to return.
