As a former Chairman of Fidelity Bank I am curious why Peter Obi whose convoy was caught with N250 million Naira cash in Lagos in 2009,gave the explanation that it was for payment of contractors to supply cars the Anambra state government.

It makes the case far worse given his previous position as Chairman of Fidelity Bank, when he knew an electronic transfer or cheque payment would have sufficed. It would he hard to justify why this is not considered money laundering for a simple contract payment of purchase of cars for the Anambra government.

Did Peter Obi approve the payment of cash to contractors who supplied Fidelity Bank with cars for their branches. If he couldn’t apply the same practice at Fidelity Bank, why bring that practice to government.

In Nigeria today, which Governor cannot move with more than that in Cash What exactly is the problem of such Cash?

Just name one Governor in the whole country who cannot, even now that there’s a law on cashless policy.

If Tinubu who is a private citizen can move with Bullion vans filled with cash can do that in a cashless society, how much more a Governor when there was not such a law

Two wrongs don’t make a right. We thought he would be different and implement the cash policy,as a former Chairman of Fidelity, how can he feign ignorance or justify what he couldn’t do in Fidelity bank.Did he ever approve payment of cash for purchase of cars or equipment or building of new branches at Fidelity Bank?Let is call out what is wrong

Mr man, there is no wrong in what OBI did, you guys are the ones looking for a fault.

There was no law on cashless policy when it happened. Tinubu did his while there is a Law banning such amount of cash.

In 1999, all governors were moving cash for various reasons because there was nothing like cashless policy back then. Nothing like the Internet banking as enjoyed today, wondering where he'd have done electronic transfer without the Internet as claimed in your post. Internet entered Nigeria in 2000 fully when GSM came. Prior to that time, na cash everyone dey carry.

I think you should ask Tinubu who, despite operating a cashless economy still ushered into his compound 2 bullion vans filled with cash a few years back. A banker told me each bullion van of that size could carry up to 1b naira at a time. When asked, he said its his money, Not even dangote as rich as he is wouid do such a thing . Your point is baseless of Peter Obi. Tell us something interesting, maybe we'd listen.

The real story is that Peter Obi paid the government contractor 250 million Naira by cheque for the supply of cars. The contractor cashed the money is at Awka and asked the Governor if he could tranfer the money to his base in Lagos in one of the cars in the Governors convoy for security reasons

The money was intercepted in Lagos by security agents and was investigated by the Police, EFCC and the Anambra State House Of Assembly. No wrong doing was found and the money released back to Obi and the contractor

This was a simple matter of a car dealer who wanted to deal in cash rather than cheque. Car dealers are notorious for only wanting to deal in cash, rarely do they touch cheque payments

Someone that was a billionaire before he became a governor stealing only 250 million naira and leaving behind 75 Billion naira. Does it sound sane?

The funny thing about this whole story is:

1. In the story Peter Obi was not any where around the place or in the car when the when the so called money was found.

2. In the story, the money was found with one of his political appointee not peter Obi.

3.How does this connect Peter Obi = none.

4.For the past 13 years Nigeria police has been investigating this and up till today no single evidence, non single arrest, nobody has been charged to court or even appeared in court.

Conclusion: APC has nothing on Peter Obi. EFFC, ICPC and FIU have all searched and digged for more than 9 years now yet Nothing at all was found.

The contractor cashed it by cheque in Akwa a whole N250 million naira and wanted to use government cars as taxi service to transfer the money to his base in Lagos.A cheque can be cashed in any branch location in the country- this explanation makes zero sense.

1. Waw Tinubu anywhere the bullion van cursed igbos accuse him of. I know fool like you will claim it was seen in his house but then the N250 million was not seen in Peter Obi convoy n inside your deluded papa convoy de see am. Foolishness #1 addressed

2. No Tinubu appointee was seen in the bullion but you fool still want to have his head. Here we have a known appointee of the pandora criminal Peter Obi in charge of the cash.

3. How does this not connect Peter Obi but same situation connect Tinubu. ?

4, we all. Know Peter Obi paid heavily each time EFCC want to take him to court while Tinubu ensure he was taking to court n was discharged with compensation for wasting his time.

Well the important thing to note is that EFCC, the Nigerian Police, as well as the Anambra State House of Assembly, that was majority PDP then and was looking for any means to kick Obi out, all thoroughly investigated this 250 million Naira issue and found no fault. The money was returned to the contractor

So it is funny that incident that has long been investigated and laid to rest by 3 different bodies, 10 years ago, is what what people are are still dragging up today

You mean the Contractor decided to cash the cheque in Anambra, knowing fully well that he was going to move the money to Lagos where banks also exist, including the bank headquarters whose cheque was to be cashed?

The contractor who foolishly cashed N250m in Anambra that he could do in Lagos, did not make any prior arrangement to move his own money to Lagos, yet he proceeded to cash it in Anambra?

And Peter Obi who is the Governor that allowed all of these to happen was actually a bank Chairman before he became Governor?

Is this the kind of dull analog 3rd class mentality that wants to rule Nigeria?

Tinubu's forfeiture of funds in the USA was since 1993, which is almost 30yrs. It is a closed case without any indictment or conviction, yet your type keep dragging him over the matter till tomorrow.
