It is a war, but u need to be tough nd bring ur mind back to the prayer.

Prayer is not a ask him thing to God, but it's a communion with God. It's a relationship thing between u nd God.

The least aspects of prayer is d part we are used to in this part of d world which is asking God for things.
One of the most important part of prayer is that of Thanksgiving, which is d Will of God.

As much as prayer is spiritual, u have to put ur mind in it.
The Bible says d flesh is weak, but the spirit is willing. If u do not start or open ur mouth ,u won't pray.
It's a discipline thing, it's not easy, but it's God's commandment. " Men ought to pray nd not give up".

If u can discipline urself not to be late to work everyday, then u can discipline urself to pray.

If you really want to see a drastic and a lasting change, start praying. If you want to change your community, state, nation, start praying. Without prayers nothing meaningful and life long Impactful can be achieved. The western nations of today was once founded on righteousness, men have paid the price long years ago.

A times even before I complete just the first phase of my prayers, I would have already exhausted a couple of hours.

So if i waited first til when I felt ready or in the mood to pray before I started, I may keep waiting and waiting, and by the time I would have realized myself, the day would have gone by.

Therefore i just start anyhow and however I feel, and it's usually when I already started praying that I now begin to feel like praying, and prayer becomes my new mood that it feels hard to stop because the Spirit has taken over.

So by the time i'm through, I would have prayed for hours upon hours.

That's how I usually complete my lenghty prayers everyday.

It's not by might nor power but by the Spirit of God.

Some people say they stopped praying bcus they don't see changes even while they prayed. The bible says so people ask and receive not bcus they ask amiss. Praying amiss can be described as praying without scriptural backing, praying without faith but fear in your heart, praying without thanking God.

Even the Bible say for we don't knw how to pray but the Holy spirit intercede for us with groaning which can not be uttered.
So doing the necessary things as a believer, the Holy Spirit will assist us in our prayer life.

I actually think prayer is something you'd naturally look forward to if you are doing it properly, but somehow folks have turned it into another chore.
It is like saying you don't feel like having a Sunday (or Sabbath - day of rest). Prayer to me is a time you just drop cares of this world and just chill with your creator (much like Sunday). A time you reset, a time-out from worldly cares - something you ought look forward to.
I think you should start by just being thankful. Thankful for all the little but priceless things we all routinely take for granted.
(And to me you don't always have to be saying words. You can just be. Just be with the Presence)

Many people say PRAY
but mean different things e.g shouting in the middle of the night disturbing your neighbours shouting
Die Die by fire?
or roborobo scrobo marobosa etc
Or some kind of business negotiation with God

Dear God give me husband, job, pikin money , health, wife etc amd I willpay tithes and Praise you

Theu all lead to reduced AWARENESS and
more automatic or zombified lives
Going through the day with no awareness of yourself like a robot
Learn how to be silent and stop making noise saying you are praying

It's that simple.

That's all you have to do because you don't have to feel like praying before you start praying.

Remember the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing, and prayer is a spiritual exercise, so if you want to wait first until you feel like praying before you start praying, you may never start praying.

But you need to pray so you don't fall into temptation.

Matthew 26:41 (KJV)

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

So just start praying no matter how weak you feel, and let God who is Spirit to help you from there.
