olateej: No one has solid information about them mechanically (most are under 50k km) , but usually body parts expensive (still a new model and the Chinese have not started work) Engine will be ridiculously expensive, same with transmission. It does not share parts with older models which means be careful and always insure comprehensively and do not allow it overheat, change oil frequently. |

Kindly share your thoughts about peugeot 206 manual. Someone wants to sell naija used for 700k and the he claimed the car engine was replaced recently with a tokunbo engine. I am a first timer as this is my first car, I don't want to make mistakes... Is this a good buy? |

adesaeed2020: Never buy one from Canada. I hear a lot of sorry stories about this model e.g self destruct mode (catching fire) but I cannot really tell if it has other issues, not very familiar. Maybe another tech could shed more light. |

barnabas6: Mazda stopped making reliable vehicles . The mdx nearly caused war on Cartalk recently  never buy an abused registered one. Personally I avoid working on the mdx 2009/10. |

I did a Vin check on a vehicle 9ja used lexus RX350 2011 that my friend wants to buy n found this.. (pix) But the vehicle now is in perfect condition now and very clean , fixed and you can't even tell this happened to it, now my question is, can one still go ahead and buy this car or is this picture a very bad problem that should make dem not buy it, give ur advice please And please what are the common issues or faults of rx350 2010-15, because this is almost a perfect everyday ride in 9ja for almost all weather,

joungblood: This is no damage. But to avoid damage in future. Discharge refrigerant, pull a vacuum and recharge with quality gas. Drain and refill coolant with Toyota long life Drain and refill transmission oil with Toyota w.s. But as per accident, it's a friendly type 13 Likes 1 Share |

2009 to 2012 rav 4 use 2GR for v6 and 2AR for 4 cylinder and both use 6 speed automatic transmission(22pin). Budget 600k to 700k for either engine or transmission if buying a naija used one or 1.2m to 1.4m if both engine and tranny is bad. Their Ac unit is automatic and most people just buy the manual compressor when its faulty when advised by their local mechanic. I think the tokunbo automatic compressor is about 50k which has no guarantee it will last(that's y people are ill advised to go for the more reliable & less technical manual compressor) and I have no idea the cost of brand new OEM automatic compressor but it sure not going to be cheap Their electric steering rack is notorious for not living long and I think its about 100k for a brand new(not OEM) Generally they are reliable if well maintained.
