The Nigerian presidency should forever be a Christian/Muslim or Muslim/Christian thing,; nothing should change it FOREVER

I will like to know, what made you change your mind on this Muslim-Muslim thing?
I know it must have been a tough one for Christians but Tinubu had an election to win.

After speaking with my people

Asked them to pick, they told me any party that doesn't have Fulani on it, will do, irrespective of the person religion

Secondly, I'm more comfortable with Bola than the rest

God forbid that Tinubu and Shettima triumph at the 2023 presidential election and proceed to complete two terms. Power will thereafter be liable to rotate to Northern Nigeria, which will probably produce a Muslim. At the end of two terms of that person, following the two terms of Tinubu-Shettima and counting back to the two terms of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s presidency would have been occupied by a Muslim for pretty much a quarter of a century or for 27 out of 32 years going back to the administration of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. Children born at the beginning of this period may end up with the impression that Nigeria is indeed an Emirate in which only Muslims are entitled to aspire to the highest office.

Unfortunately, Christians don’t get the message being passed by this action.
If it succeeds, in the next 8 years, political parties will only field Muslim candidates. They will tell you that if they present a Christian candidate, that they won’t win. That the North will not vote him, and they need northern votes to win. They will automatically sideline Christians in the politics of Nigeria. Then gradually, our laws begin to change towards a Muslim nation. The Hijab ruling is a clear example. Christians better stand your ground in this election or be eliminated. Once they vex, they attack churches and kill worshipers and its normal. They stone Christians in the name of blasphemy and its normal.

They negotiate with terrorists to release only Muslim girls and keep the Christian. Don’t use because of ethnicity and destroy your faith ethnicity is only in the world, you believe is beyond this world. Those attacked in Owo church, were not attacked because they are Yoruba, they were attacked because they are Christians. Those attacked in southern Kaduna are not attacked because they are Hausa’s, but because they are Christians.

Just seeing this thread.

E no get wetin I never predict. It is unfortunate, but Nigeria would be an Islamic Republic by 2050 latest. I don't seeing anything that can change it.

You are a bigot. Religion should not matter to you, let alone be able to influence how you vote, if you're not a bigot.

It is even worse if you're under 40.

Seriously, you people are heartless o. So, a man who has experienced deaths and genocides under a Muslim-Christian presidency should support a Muslim-Muslim ticket? Don't you have conscience?

Two things
1: Obi is a capitalist
2: his supporters

The only people who hate capitalists are:

- Influencers who use it to deceive others and make money out of it.
- Frustrated poor people who don't understand elementary economics.

Why would you hate a system that has pulled more people out of poverty than any other economic system?

So you are even Omenka? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin The sins you committed by spewing bullsh!t on Igbos and tribal rants would be meted on you. You lots lampooned Jonathan/Ijaws/Ibibios/Igbos pre-2015 thinking Northern Muslims would hand you power in 2022? LOL! I thought you modafvcker should know a thing or two about Political Islam, but you have been deceived. Fortunately, it should not be hard for you to learn Arabic and recite the Koran. cheesy

But Christian-Christian ticket is all over the southern region, but u people don't have any issue with it, why now? That's hypocrisy

You are a very stoopid man. Common sense should tell you that a state like Rivers with less than 1% Muslim population would have Christian governors and deputies. But a state like Kaduna should be Muslim-Christian to reflect the religious diversity. Compared to Rivers, Oyo is between a Christian and Muslim. Ditto for Lagos and Ogun but different from Ekiti. That is commonsense, but na so so how to slaughter people in Southern Kaduna dey your sh!tty brain!

It's really pathetic for us angom, akume is now putting things in place in favour of tinubu but i just pray he fails. this is someone that single handedly pull a large number of votes for apc in the last two elections, but what did the core north gave him? minister for special duties. they even promise him senate president but nothing came out, sgf came and they still avoid him cos he was a christian.

i use to find it difficult to know the reason why this our muslimm brothers find it hard to trust us but expect us to trust and support them

I am sure you have learnt a thing or two about Political Islam. grin

Thanks for the mention. It and another thread which chronicled the areas Northern Christians reside further opened my eyes to how they think. Well, long 'ol divide and conquer has been used to win elections worldwide. Unfortunately, the gamble by Northern Christians failed, and with the kind of tweets I see by Northern Muslims, they should be prepared for the Mother of all Destruction. On paper, Obi is better than the lot, but he had no chance of winning. I saw this and picked Atiku. If Obi had urged his supporters to vote for Atiku, who won states in the Muslim North and Christian South, Tinubu would not have become president.

Also, it is quite foolish and stoopid for OP and his ilks to hate Igbos and capitalism when they need Christian allies and are poorer than Igbos. I don't understand it why poor people hate capitalism - the only means to prosper. The recent elections showed us that any Christian who wishes for the religion to survive in Nigeria has to align with Igbos and ethnic minorities in the SS.

Going forward, Nigeria would be severely divided across ethnic lines, ditto religious ones. Then about 30 years from now, the country would be an Islamic Republic. Already, Northern Muslims are extremely elated on TwitterNG.

Political Islam, in summary, is when Muslims do things to support the religion through political means. They support every policy (economic, social and political) as long as it promotes the propagation of Islam. It is the dream of every Muslim to ensure Islam becomes the dominant religion globally, and they don't mind whatever means it takes for that to be achieved.

I think persons like the OP have a healthy suspicion of the Igbos.

It was the Sardauna that said give the Igbos an inch, and you wouldn't know when they take a mile. The 1966 coup is a cautionary tale. They can be domineering. As such it does stand to reason that the OP and co aren't quite enthused with trading the Fulanis for the Igbos.

On Capitalism, in my informed opinion, socialism is the default choice for much of the world's population. It sounds natural, fair, and egalitarian to the layman.

I think they'll come around tho' on both counts. It's sort of still early days. For a long time, they've had a deeper connection with their Northern neighbors than their Southern religious brothers. That'd take a while to untangle.

It would be horrifying for Nigeria to become an Islamic Republic. But the naivete Christians have and continue to display exponentially raise the odds of that happening. Occurred in Niger and Kaduna states.
