exactly, even the current administration is also in support of two state solution to Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This must be fake news

What is fake about the news when it was clearly stated that seven countries voted against it? Why would any right thinking and educated person called it a fake news? You must have trusted these countries so much! Did you even try to read the news at all? Let me help you see the why they opposed it.
UK:
We do not agree with claims made in this resolution that states are required to make reparations for the slave trade and colonialism, which caused great suffering to many but were not, at that time, violations of international law.
USA:
We also reject the resolution’s call for “former colonial Powers” to provide reparations “consistent with” the DDPA.

You may now want to find out what DDPA resolution means.

If all this is the real reality, even thought it sounds like a fantasy to me.
Then the question is why voting against?

It’s politics. At the political helms.

The shootings of blacks you hear always is like, police shooting people because on 20 naira in Nigeria.

No be everybody police dey shoot for Nigeria, so if you dey stop you and you give 20 naira, dem no go shoot you. Na so here, if you behave yourself and be law abiding, you will be so happy and free too and achieve your dreams.

In fact if you be cute black guy here, na so white babes go dey rush you too. Lol

It’s not detailing my dear. I have been in the US at least for years now, actually in a most white populated neighborhood, but trust me, I haven’t for once felt racism. In fact, all I have known is love and respect.
White still dey open door for me at shopping malls/restrooms, always yield for me to pass at stop signs, and nobody has cursed or shouted at me when driving on the road, unlike when I was in Nigeria.
Racism is so political, like the way Hausa will always want to be the only one rulling Nigeria, but aside that, it’s not that common on the streets nowadays.

Trust me black people are living better lives and not maltreated.

In fact, if you be cute black boy here, na so whites babes go dey rush you. Lol

Better don't lose guard there otherwise they will let you know who you are.

I am yet to perceive any hope for countries like Nigeria, due to the mentality of the people, its very poor, and it will not take the people far. We are as poor in mind, as the first time, as some ancestors were. wink wink

Although we have a very great potential yet we remain as we have been.

We do not agree with claims made in this resolution that states are required to make REPARATIONS for the slave trade and colonialism, which caused great suffering to many but were not, at that time, violations of international law. Moreover, these claims divert focus from the pressing challenges of tackling contemporary racism and global inequality – which are global challenges affecting all regions. We believe that the most effective way for us all today to respond to the cruelty of the past is to ensure that current and future generations do not forget what happened.
Bolded - Reason it was voted against, but a lot of people hardly read beyond the topic headline.

I'm surprised to be honest because I don't expect this from the Biden administration, even the current US ambassador to UN is a black woman.

But domestically, the Biden administration has shown the willingness to end racism and white supremacy. Some high ranking black men and women serving in biden's cabinet include.

1. Michael Regan, the first Black man to lead the Environmental Protection Agency

2. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the first Black person in the post

3. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge

4. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield

5. Cecilia Rouse, chair of the Council of Economic Advisers. Rouse is the first Black woman to lead the council.

6. Shalanda Young, acting director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.

7. Karine Jean-Pierre, white house press secretary

8. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson
Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

9. The current US vice President Kamala Harris is also a black woman, Joe biden picked her.

The list is endless

President biden also signed executive order on the second anniversary of George Floyd's death directing federal agencies to revise use-of-force policies, banning tactics such as chokeholds, restricting practices like no-knock warrants and promoting de-escalation techniques.

This is why I'm still a fan of Biden, Donald trump didn't appoint a single black man in his cabinet, he remains the most racist president in US history

Is not a shame that these set of blacks in the Biden administrator fail to use these golden opportunity to end racism once and for all? Why? They are still much in love with the chains of oppression and stupidity.

Being black is beginning to look like a curse...and these blacks just proved it.

The reparation thing is of interest to me. While these countries are just trying to cover up thier ass, I personally do not see reparation as a solution to the current issue of racism. That bit is debatable, but I also see why the black countries would vote for it. My question is, if that is done, would the black man still have the ground to complain when faced by systematic racism? Will you and I get the benefit at an individual level? How much are we even talking about here? That's almost like buying our silence. Systematic racism has eaten deep into our society today. It is glaring and saddening. Asking the white man of today to pay (in monetary terms) for the the things legally done by thier forefathers might be appealing, but it's not going to help us in anyway; not with the kind of leaders we have. We need a systematic solution.

To those bringing in Russia war into this, you guys are jokers. How does this justify Putin's aggression or desire to take Ukrainian territories? It's embarrassing that you lot believe that America's wrongdoings justify Russia or that that those kicking against Russia can't criticize the US.

You think Racism is all about calling you a monkey. It is a power structure system where whites are kept on top and other races, especially blacks are kept on the bottom.

For example, blacks pay more taxes, pay more insurance, have higher credit card rates, lower credit card scores etc. This is because most blacks are given an odd number as social security number when they are born etc.

In religion, you worship their white Jesus that looks nothing like you. Another insidious way of making sure you see them as gods and saviours and superior to you.

Blacks are 100% human, whereas white people and every other person mixed with them are not considered 100% human since white people have dog, fruitflies, chimpanzee DNA in them, but their scientist will tell you we all evolved from apes, and blacks are the closest to apes, all to undermine your self confidence.

In short, racism is systemic. It keeps you as an underclass to them where you are poorer, weaker, etc

Same thing the Hausas/Fulanis are practicing in Nigeria, whereas they want to keep the South as a permanent underclass to them. That is the real tribalism. Tribalism is not about Igbos and Yoruba's coming to Nairaland to insult themselves. Lol.
Yes I know about that, the average bleach pig is a racist.

So, because of Israel-Palestine conflict that has time without number evidenced western bias against the Palestinian people...Will vote against a bill that supposedly supports the taking of wide world action against racism and xenophobia?

Don't be deceived mate! This white people deep down their hearts never loved the black man since the era of slavery. I had a white American as a neighbor here in Nigeria , he used our women like rags. There was a day we had a conversation and he clearly made it known to o me I he hates blacks generally and I asked him why do you have sex with black ladies he told me that getting is so cheap. I told him then you shop stop working in Nigeria and go back to your country of which he said no that the money and the way we view whites that is why he works and lives here. I was very upset with him.

Okay, that true, although racism is like a thing of pride, just like in nairaland, where we see tribes insulting each other, thinking they are better than others, and that they are above certain kind of human degeneracy. We see tribes are ascribed certain negative traits and its always reinforced by events

So also do white people See us as Inferiors, due to comparisons, its ingrained and taught. The economic disparity and the tendency for crimes to be more prevalent in Black neighborhoods also turns as a rallying point to justify racism.

The truth first is for black people to first reject the term "black".
That colour is a caste system
And so far only the Caucasians (white) and dark skinned people ( black) have held on to it.
Other people that were labelled red etc. Have all rejected their ascribed colour caste and they have advanced.

They still don't want to take responsibility for their misdeeds and don't want to apologize or pay reparations. I knew that evil country France will oppose it. They don't want anything to jeopardize the billions they are still raking from francophone African countries.
Later they blame Russia as If they are any better than them. Racist clowns.
You cannot say you are sorry you stole from me and yet you refuse to return at least part or all of what you stole. Such apologies are just scratching the surface of the problem.

You can read here,
https://www.un.org/en/fight-racism/background/durban-declaration-and-programme-of-action

but from what i can see, its goals are to protect and support migrants, this is why they may not want to promote it. And i can understand to some extent why.

Another goal is to examine the past atrocities of the slave trade era, and popular sentiments in those countries are that slavery is like any other atrocities of the past which should not be imposed on the generation which is not responsible for those crimes. ( although can be a deflection, they love it)

Etcetera, it aims to address the impact of the past atrocities committed in the slave trade, in order to do so it has to reexamine it.
