It was the mistake of barca management not to plan ahead. When Ronaldo left Madrid, it only affected them for that season when they got 68 points in laliga, 21 point behind barca and 8points behind ATM, they got eliminated in champions league round of 16 that year by Ajax. Since then, it has been strength to strength.

Barcelona actually have a low quality team with pique busquets and co that's why they were always disgraced in the knockout stages. There problem is there fear of selling of off those holy cows

A club will always bigger than player regardless of that player contribution to it. They played 10 to 11 games in league without defeat before Madrid defeated them.They did that without Messi that ran to PSG. Because they don't want to spend money to get a good coach that will turn things around for them. Barcelona have the players but dey don't have the coach to ginger them.

Enrique saw this coming but they had a problem with him for trying to correct it .The players who were also a part of it are no longer as good as they were, or not playing, so it’s expected that the decline would be this bad. Let’s not forget the coach is not tactically sound and should have learnt more before taking over at the helms of his dream club and besides, he’s got some racist mentality which is evident in his selection process. So for now, let Barca follow the process of rebuilding, which comes with losing some and winning some.
