When people say lecturers didn't work and therefore should not be paid, I wonder at their ignorance. Their work schedule is lecturing, research and community service. If you pay them half salary for resuming mid October, then it's logical to continue lecturing, and doing other functions from the day of resumption. There's no need of compensating for the back log of duties. From my knowledge as a postgraduate student, these people work round the clock. Their work is not like the typical civil service work that resumes 8am and closes by 4pm, Monday to Friday

This one LIE pass Lai Mohammed. ASUU members are lazy and corrupt. E no get any work wey them dey do.
God bless FG for this NO WORK NO PAY.

Any lecturer that wants to go on strike must show prove he or she work fully in October.
Proof to who?
Did the govt fulfill its own side of the agreement before they resumed work

the FG is owing these idiots nothing. It is a policy of government everywhere that NO WORK NO PAY. it is not done anywhere for government to pay you if you refuse to come to work. Some ob!diots will refer to refinery workers across the country. But tbe fact remains that government is paying for your time, not the work done. So if these lecturers had remain in schools and refuse to teach, government would pay them full salary.

they can decide to work without graduating any students. No exams, no nothing. Just move to school and back. There are many ways for ASUU to really touch the FG without going on a strike. You go to work but do nothing. The country suffers lass lass. The FG should end this madness by settling ASUU and allowing education to flow freely.

And you think the School administration will fold it arms and watch ASUU do anyhow? Now that ASUU have exposed themselves to be greedy, lazy and incompetent Lecturers.

Soon the Student will desend on ASUU members with EndASUU. By then, FG, Police, Soldiers and Nigerians go fold our hands and allow the Students to deal with you people, with no mercy.

My colleague, PhD senior lecturer for 10 years was paid 142k. After calculations, we discovered that the government prorated the payment for 18 days.
THIS IS TO SAY THAT, A SENIOR STAFF - PHD HOLDER THAT HAS SERVED THE SYSTEM FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS CAN NOT EVEN BOAST OF 300K SALARY IN A MONTH.

US dollar today, Friday 4th of November is ₦880.
When this useless cow was elected in 2015, dollar was just 200+, today it's X 4 and before he leaves, it will definitely be over 1000 and x 6.

280k salary in a month is barely $320!!!
Indeed, Nigeria is doomed under these cows' rulership. Fool ani fools.

Students should just zero their minds that they can never get the best out of any lecturer again. Unless that lecturer is a thief or a FOOL.

AFTER 8 MONTHS OF STARVATION, THIS IS THE BEST FG CAN DO.
I am with Buhari on this one. He should not pay them shishi. Did they work for it,

Do you have conscience at all?
Had it been those lecturers were duely paid
What's the essence of ASUU strike?
Those lecturers have families and responsibilities to carter for.
Why the students are suffering from ASUU strikes today, is as a result of inconsistency among your learders up there..
Itching palms is a policy to them..
I am not surprised at all.
People like you use people as donkeys to work and dump them...

The FG can sack any lecturer that goes on strike for receiving half payment unless the staff can show he or she worked for a full month in October.

You Have spoken the truth.

Despite the fact that Nigerian universities were on strike most of the year, Unilag and UI still ranked in top 500 universities in the world and this is because the lecturers continously published research in high impact journals.

Even better: [b]"Corrupt politicians with questionable certificates".

And why are you using an uppercase E for education?

They cannot invest in education, but they have money to redesign currency & buy sniffer dogs. Currupt politicians whose certificates are questionable will never understand what education is. Season 2 of ASUU strike looming under one year & in the space of nearly 2 weeks.

When ignorant people talk, it is not that difficult to spot them. Should investing in education stop the buying of sniffer dogs prevent the redesigning of our currency?
