It's normal in Nigeria.

It is normal in the south because the people over there are not normal and irrational beings.

It's not normal in the north because the people over there are normal people that behave rational.

Christmas is close so be vigilant against Nigerian police. Such criminal act is rampant during this period. I have been a victim before.

Yeah, if there's "reasonable suspicion" that the person is involved in a criminal act. Please note if they have nothing to charge you with, you must be released under 48 hours.

Very normal but abnormal situation prevalent in the south of Nigeria due to fake wokeness, lack of community, excessive greed and corruption and mind your business attitude.

Try that rubbish in northern Nigeria and the people will burn the police station and send the dpo on exile.

One country, several nations, two laws.

Yes, it's normal, a police officer confirmed to me that money they realize from bail from these indiscriminate arrests is what they use in fueling those their operational vehicles and feed suspects in their detention. Whatever is budgeted for the police by Federal Government never trickles down to them, their bosses make a feast of the money from FG.

Why not if police receive first hand information about their nefarious activities. Where crime persist , citizens are bound to lose their fundamental rights to Governmental authority

The same in Lagos too. A cashier guy working with Betking complained how two Policemen entered his shop and told follow them. He asked what has he done that he should follow. So, one of the policemen gave him a Tunderous slap while colleague dipped his two fingers into his eyes, they now took him to the station. It was either his boss or one of his family member that bailed him. Note: The policmen are good at accusing their victims falsely. When they are broke or their cell is empty or getting empty, they use to behave this way.

Lies, they don't feed suspects in detention. Infact, the policeman isn't telling u the truth. The Federal govt do budget, they must have used up the money.
