Non of those positions are higher than the speaker of the house that PDP zoned to SW.

So the question is: Why did Tinubu and SW house members conspire to humiliate PDP and GEJ chosen candidate Mulikat, just to spite GEJ and Spin the story of marginalization later on?
If Tinubu could convince Tambuwal to dump PDP for APC, what made it impossible to convince Mulikat to do same, after they must have helped her become the Speaker first and foremost, and then help her decamp to APC fold?

If it's not because Tinubu and SW house members were eager to create an avenue with which they could justify their later campaign of mariginalization against GEJ?
Your problem is that you thrive on lies and falsehood.

The thread is about people that went to Jonathan.

They went to Jonathan to complain about APPOINTMENTS under the Executive arm which is in his purview.

The Speaker is an elective role and not under Jonathan's control so stop mixing apples and oranges.

Jonathan as president is head of the executive and he did not see fit to appoint any Yoruba person to any worthwhile position that he had power to appoint.

Did Buhari appoint Saraki or Dogara

It is an important question but not relevant to Goodluck Jonathan or any claim of marginalization levelled against him.Such should be measured against actions under his control.

Buhari had no control over the emergence of Saraki or Dogara.
If PDP was sincere about giving the Speaker to the SW why did they not consider an APC candidate after all we have Ekweremadu in office now.
Please stop the lies and bullshit

We are talking about Goodluck Jonathan
The Speaker issue is a party political issue PDP/APC matter
Here specifically we are talking about Goodluck Jonathan and appointments in his control

Will you keep your mouth shut? Look at the nonsense you are spewing. How was Jonathan insulted by the Yorubas? Same Yoruba that voted en mass for him and as you can see, the hatred on the thread started as soon as he was elected in 2011. Same Tinubu your lots were insulting in the thread was the first to tell Yorubas in Lagos to vote en mass for PDP during the presidential election but ACN during the state election in 2011. Fact is many Yoruba leaders stood up for Jonathan especially when the North wanted to forcefully remove him but what did we get in return?

I asked again, how was Jonathan insulted? Was it by voting en mass for him? You're quite stupid. For a president of a multi ethnic nation to be seen mocking one of the ethnic tribe in his country is something that shouldn't be heard of and shows how stupid Jonathan was/still is.

It's funny how you lots knew Jonathan built no infrastructures in the SE yet still supported him because of the juicy position he offered your people at the expense of the Yorubas. Same way your lots made 1 million man march for Abacha because he offered Ibo juicy position regardless of the atrocities he committed. Your lots even loved him the more the moment Abacha was killing the Yorubas. Ibos are not only corrupt but also hateful. That's what makes you tick.

Yorubas never voted in mass for GEJ. The votes were divided as usual, with GEJ just edging it. Yorubaland never votes unilaterally or massively for a single candidate, when a Yoruba man isn't contesting for presidency.
So let's get this straight, SW never voted en mass for GEJ. There was voters apathy in 2011 presidential election in SW. And the few that voted were divided with GEJ just edging it.
Look at the 2011 presidential election result here, tell me how you voted for him en mass :http://saharareporters.com/2011/04/17/presidential-election-results-live

When you called him a drunken fisherman! That's when you insulted him. Remember? I don't remember GEJ mocking Yorubas though.

We had juicy positions under OBJ as well. CBN governor, Minister of Finance,NAFDAC telecommunications, Senate President, etc. , And we appreciated him by supporting him through thick and thin. Twice we voted for OBJ, even against Igbo candidates, even when Buhari had an Igbo VP.
You never seem to have a problem with us supporting OBJ, and with OBJ surrounding himself with competent Igbo technocrats, but you all out of innate hate for anything that is not yours, hated GEJ and hated the fact that Ndiigbo decided to still lend him the same support we had always lent to all PDP presidents, irrespective of their ethnic group and irrespective of the fact that they didn't really do much for us in terms of infrastructural development.

I don't understand how an Igbo man looking for his pocket Who supported Abacha translates to Igbos wanting Abacha rule, just to spite Yorubas. The last time I checked, it was Yoruba elders who collected money from Abacha and sold out Abiola. https://www.legit.ng/1111319-how-mko-abiola-betrayed-former-nadeco-secretary.html

It was your current Messiah Buhari, who was Abacha right hand man, and who helped him loot Nigeria blind as well as discriminated against the entire Southern Nigeria, when he allocated more than 60% of PTF projects to North and only few to the South.

You people penchant for turning logic on its head and twisting narratives is legendary, but you forgot that this is no longer the era you lots had monopoly to print media and used it judiciously to propagate your lies and propaganda, unchallenged.
The social media has taken away that advantage from you, you need to smell the coffee and stop already.

We all know that the Ekweremmadu thing was an anomaly. A glitch in the system, that will never happen again.
It isn't the norm.
The norm is that the rulling party shares the lucrative posts amongst members from all zones, using a zoning formular to entrench equity.

Why did Tinubu intervene and denied SW on her own fair share of equity and share in PDP by working against a fellow Yoruba called Mulikat, to benefit a Fulani man called Tambuwal.

You lots are yet to answer this question, and I have been asking or for years now.

See another rubbish you have just posted. How does few selfish Yoruba leaders who loves their pocket equates to millions of Yorubas like we had millions of Ibos making man march for Abacha? Or the millions jumping with joy over Yoruba marginalisation under Jonathan? You're so stupid.

Jonathan was seen laughing with Arthur Eze who was mocking Yorubas with derogatory words, calling us Useless amala ewedu folks. The fact that Jonathan laughed with the stupid man shows he's an accomplice and had the same thought. Obj was called many names such as monkey, masquerade etc yet no one heard him mock any tribe like Jonathan did. Even Buhari didn't mock anyone with derogatory statement like Jonathan did, despite the name calling by your lots. All what Buhari said was those who gave him 5% votes would get 5% efforts from his administration. That was all but Ibo took it personally.

Fact is Yoruba voted en mass for Jonathan. He won in all SW states poll which is always devoid of rigging unlike what we always had in the SE until the introduction of card readers. Lagos especially gave him more than a million vote but what did we get in return? Hatred. The likes of Woke Soyinka had thousands man march for him to protest against the North who had wanted to remove him. Obj also tried his best. Even Tinubu didn't keep quiet until Jonathan was handed power to rule but what did Yoruba get from the ingrate? He allowed the hateful Ibos to poisoned his mind against the Yorubas.

I have always said in one of my post that your lots are filled with hate and always view things from the point of competition which started with Zik who was always writing bullshit in his newspaper to denigrate other tribes while elevating his tribe. What is with you that you can coexist with others without the tendency to subdue others? Would it have been that bad if both Ibos and Yoruba had coexist under Jonathan regime? But no, Ibos sabotaged the regime with their hate and stupidity.

But you children of Akalogoli has no problem with idolizing Buhari and praising him. Buhari openly mocked us when he called us 5% Who should not expect much from his government for not voting him. No insult is greater than that. Being told you are a second class citizen in a country you are supposed to be a part of, by supposedly democratically elected president.

Card readers have never worked in SE, all it ever did was disfranchise our people, as the machine always malfunctions, wasting time and ending up resulting in many not being able to cast their votes. It was a deliberate agenda introduced by APC using JEGA since 2015 to reduce the number of votes in SE, and it's been working. While we keep seeing miraculous figures from war ravaged and unstable NE states.

Zik never for once made any tribal statements against SW. All he did was praise Ndiigbo, and you children of hate suffering from rabid Igbo hate rather than praise Your Own groups, resorted to bashing and denigrating Ndiigbo. Awolowo would be credited with introducing tribal bitter politics in Nigeria, Akintola was notorious for his Yoruba Ronu speech where he made a lot of Igbophobic remarks without provocation from Ndiigbo of that era.

They were also complaining about lack of Yoruba presence in the government.

A Yoruba House of rep speaker would have given you that.
PDP with GEJ acceptance carefully picked and anointed Mulikat for the post of Speaker of the house .

Question of the day remains, why did Tinubu and Yoruba APC, choose a Fulani (Tambuwal), over their own daughter, and even went as far as directly working against and voting against their own daughter.

I want to get the answer for this from you children of hate, before we proceed further .

Theyy were talking about Goodluck Jonathan not presence in government . Once elected into the legislature a person is IN GOVERNMENT
Did Buhari appoint Saraki or Dogara

The issue was Goodluck Jonathan's appointments specifically and his marginalization of Yoruba's. The reason they went to him was because they were interested in those things under his control. That is the executive arm.

You lots have always been children of hate and your hate can only lead you to downhill.

Zik never denigrate other tribes yet he said Ibo would dominate and subdue Nigeria? He never denigrate yet appointed 300 Ibos with just 2 Yoruba among the staffs recruited at university of Ibadan, a SW University? There were many time he made slur about other tribe in his newspaper like he did when Ibadan football team defeated a team from the east. You can only fool yourself, not me.

Are you saying Awolowo wanting to rule over his own people rather than an Ibo man like Zik ruling over the Yoruba amount to tribalism? You are mad. Isn't Zik born in the North? Why didn't Zik contest at the place of his birth or in the east? One of Ibo's problem is greed. You ain't contented with what you have but always salivate over other people's food even when you have yours. Yeye dey smell.

How did Buhari openly mock you? Did you vote for him like he stated? Is this statement as worse as Jonathan saying only Ibos are the pillar of his government despite Yoruba voting for him? Or worse than Jonathan and Arthur Eze mocking Yoruba with derogatory statement on national TV? Besides, the SS were included in the 5% speech yet they didn't take it personal and call it tribalism. Maybe we could say Buhari statement was vindictive but it was never tribal. He dissed no tribe nor mocked them.

You said Ibo didn't support Daniel Kanu call for 1 million man march for Abacha but what about the Ibos jubilating over Yoruba marginalisation in the thread? What about the millions of Ibos seen with Kanu Nnamdi when he was spewing hate speeches towards the Yorubas? What about the disruption of pastor Kumuyi's revival in Abia state? The man did no wrong but because he was Yoruba, he was hated.

And no one is trying to disfranchise the Ibos. Ibos hardly go out to vote. It has always been their leaders rigging to vote for them. I don't think I have ever seen our Ibo tenant and his wife go out to vote In any of the elections we have had. Abegi.

Now, let's look at the top six positions Yoruba delegates complained about being left out of, to GEJ

1.President
2.Vice President
3.Senate President
4.Speaker of the House of Representatives
5.Chief Justice of the Federation (CJF)
6.Deputy Senate President
7.Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives

The above is the power rankings in the Nigerian presidential system.

Yorubas were offered number 4 by PDP with GEJ support. Igbos were offered number 6.

Tinubu out of his innate Yoruba politics of hate, which they package as "suffersticated" politics, decided to single handedly renact Afonja-Alimi part 2, by supporting a Fulani man, Tambuwal, to defeat his Yoruba sister Mulikat.
The whole Yoruba race kept quiet and were cheering on their new Afonja.
Now few years down the line, they all started crying about being schemed out of GEJ government.

People of the world, can you lots judge this case fairly?

Did they complain to Jonathan about ethnic cleansing of Yorubas ? Paricularly the sacking of 6 GMs at FAAN by Stella Oduah?
Jonathan himself said it was an anomaly that they were left out of the top 6 positions but there was nothing he could do about that .Those SIX positions include the Chief Justice of the Federation.
and even Jonathan's position
Why don't you focus on that?

The real question is WHAT DID THEY ASK FOR or did they not ask for anything maybe they just went to WAIL

You are now shifting narratives again.
Your argument before now was that the cries about marginalization by Yoruba elders was not about top positions in the government, which Tinubu in typical Yoruba hateful politics, denied SW by replaying the Afonja-Alimi drama with another Fulani called Tambuwal.

But now I had showed you that the main bone of their contention was about the conspicuous absence of SW from those 6 top positions, you are now trying to shift ground again, throwing up different diversionary arguments to obfuscate issues.

Anyway, I think my job here is done.

It will be recorded in history that Tinubu out of hate and suffersticated politics of hate Yorubas are known for, decided to take SW position of power, which is number 4 in ranking, zoned by PDP and GEJ, and decided to give it to Tambuwal, with sinister motive of using the conspicuous absent of Yorubas in positions of power in GEJ government, which he artificially created himself, to spin narratives and turn the whole region against GEJ with cries of marginalization.

You have not shown anything the issue is that Jonathan marginalized Yorubas in his government everything else is waffle.

Your exercise is sophistry is waffle .

You claim to have SHOWN

How do you show without a single quote or name of who said what?

Alll in an efort to digress

Come back did Jonathan appoint Yorubas?

Yoruba elders went to meet Jonathan in August 2011. It was widely reported in the Newspapers.

In one newspaper the quote about the top 6 psitions was attributed to Jonathan

.

None of that is here or anywhere.

The elders didnot go to Jonathan because they wanted him to resign or sack the Chief Judge or otherwise contrive to give them one of the top 6 positions.

The top 6 positions was mentioned by SOMEBODY

You claim to have show this? WHO exactly mentioned it was it Jonathan or any person you can name?

Allof that once again is digression

The issue is that Jonathan marginalized the Yoruba

Jonathan not Nigeria, Not destiny but JO NA TAN

The boneof their contention?

SHOWN?

Without a single quote from one named individual saying that?

What did you show a film or cartoon

This is what Jonathan said on that day

https://allafrica.com/stories/201108260959.html

Anyhow whether or not it was the bone oftheir contention

WHY did they visit him.

Was there any means of changing or redressing those 6 positions

I have SHOWN that Buhari had no control over the emergence of Dogara or Saraki Ekweremaduetc so there were no vacancies in the top 6 positions when they visited Jonathan .How then could those 6 positions be in contention.

Jonathan had no say in who occupied them

What did Jonathan offer to do at the end of the meeting

Again the answer is there

https://allafrica.com/stories/201108260959.html

Jonathan who met with the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) led by retired Major General Adeyinka Adebayo yesterday evening at the State House, Abuja, said it is now compulsory on him to correct the anomalies through appointments, saying that he would not preside over any government that would marginalise any section of the country.
Did he do it

Chief Kola Aderemi wrote in The Nation of December 23 last year that President Jonathan must have something against the Yoruba to allow for such sustained ill-treatment. "Nothing illustrates President Jonathan’s hatred for Yoruba better than the way he removed some Yoruba people from key positions on allegation of being too close to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo," he said. "To buttress my point, I recalled how he removed Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as the PDP secretary. Mr Yomi Bolarinwa was removed as DG of Nigeria Broadcasting Commission; Otunba Segun Runsewe was removed as DG of Nigerian Tourism Development Commission, and they were replaced with Igbo people." Here is a selection of other Yoruba people that Jonathan sacked that chief forgot to mention: Olu Oluleye, executive secretary, the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF). Dr Samuel Oduselu, CEO of the Accident Investigation Bureau. Stella Oduah sacked eight general managers at the FAAN in 2014, six of them Yoruba. The same minister employed 75 workers, 40 of them are from the Southeast, her geo-political zone. The minister sacked Captain Adebayo Araba, rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, and replaced him with Captain Chinyere Kalu from the Southeast. Also Mrs Ola Onagoruwa, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, was sacked for "undisclosed reasons". The issue of the Yorubas being deliberately replaced by the Igbo people is debatable, but it is a fact that, immediately after Yar’Adua died, Jonathan went on Yoruba sacking spree. The result? Other than the constitutionally-required appointments, Yorubas are invisible in his government. The Yoruba people moved from the number one position (in President Obasanjo "era"wink to number 22. I'm not exactly sure how this reckoning was done, but the victims must have taken their time to do the counting. And this thread is why I was so angry with the South West voting pattern. How anyone can support a group of people and a party that hate and despise you so openly is beyond me. Yoruba are really under a curse.

The reality is that this election was a choice between two evils

Has Buhari done well over the last 4 year to deserve unquestioning support.

Buharis case is like that of a drunkard who enters a shop sellng expensive glass .You want to sweet talk him out without damaging anything.
Buhari does not have any useful ideas of his own . APC is made up of3 tendencies CPC (Buhari) AD (Tinubu) New Pdp (Saraki Kwankwaso Tambuwal Atiku etc)
The reality is CPC which is the dominant factor has a so calleD cabal which has little electoral value but wields unquestionable power. To that extent Buhari is merely a deity that is wheeled out at elections to capture power and thereafter is confined to Aso Rock.
The new PDP were totally sidelined and AD(Tinubu) cannot be said to represent Yoruba interest,

Bottomline , Nigeria is bleeped

Neither Buhari nor Atiku can transform this country

The only reason we are here is because when GEJ was in power voted in by all southerners including Yorubas . The Ebose convinced him to marginalize the Yoruba.

IT is not possible for a southern minority like GEJ to successfully rig election against the North without Yoruba support. If he had Yoruba support then even with their so called 10 million from Kano he would have remained in power and nothing would happen. But he chose to marginalize the Yoruba under Eboe guidance and the rest is history.

We will not make progress if that unpleasant truth is not dealt with.

Tje main culprit is Stella Oduah who went on a Yoruba sacking spree but there are others, The problem with the Eboes is their inability to think and act long term.

No matter ho much you hate the YOruba in Nigeria you are going nowhere politically without them but at every opportunity yoou seek to antagoonize them.

Well let me tell you the next thing that will happen to you in Lagos that you covet: it is called inheritance tax.

Buy as much landed property as you like but when yoou die we will take it back.

If the property is wort 10 million we will value it at 20 or 30 or 40 and levy 10 % inheritance tax and if your descendants cannot pay we will sell it and give them change if they can pay we have other tricks to force them to give it up. One way or another we will gerrymander any place wher your population is growing. The gloves are off and the new Pharaoh does not know Joseph

She was kind of right. Invite Ibo to come and eat and they will hold your own hand.

Yoruba in Lagos and south west brought Jonathan to power through our demonstration when the cabal will not let him comes in from the position of vice president. The moment Jonathan entered the Ibo took over his government as if it's an Igbo government.

We Yoruba fought for this democracy, our sons and daughters died for it. I remember Kudi abiola was murdered, pa Alfred a southern friend was murdered, simbiat adedeji was killed in broad daylight, Frank kokori another southern friend, adesanya almost lost his life, Gani fewehinmi was in and out of detention, sowore a SUG president in unilag ran overseas, Tinubu, Dele momodu etc ran overseas, Saro wiwa another southern friend was hanged for no reason but in all this no Ibo casualty.

All this time where were the Igbo or ndigbo? I forgot they were romancing abacha . Who organised the 2 million march for abacha ? An Igbo man kanu . Who went to court to stop election of abiola ? An Igbo man . Tell me just one Ibo political elite that fought for this democracy or the one that ran overseas as a result of opposing military rule ? There's just none of them.

Trust an Ibo man at your own risk.

I stumbled on this thread accidentally and I must confess, I never imagined the Igbo race has so much hatred for the Yoruba Nation.
The time to address the Igbo question, in Western Nigeria, IS NOW.

We have to emulate the Hausa-Fulanis in our relationship with Igbo settlers, in Western Nigeria.
They have so much respect & regard for the
Hausa-Fulanis because of the brutal ways they are dealt with in Northern Nigeria.
The Igbo race was recently forced to eat the 'humble pie' in Northern Nigeria, when Hausa-Fulani youths issued them a 'quit notice/ultimatum' to vacate Northern Nigeria and return home to their 'Potopoto Republic'.
They have no option than to start begging & appealing to Traditional, Islamic and former military leaders in Northern Nigeria, to appeal to Arewa Youths for their stay to be extended in Northern Nigeria.
The Yoruba Nation has been dealing with the Igbo race as Brothers in our Nation, but they have proven that they are worst than Judas.
The Igbo residents in Western Nigeria, have shown that they do not have any iota of respect or regards for our political and religious leaders and they are always ready to align with our adversaries to circumvent Yoruba interests and aspirations. This is a practice they dare not carry out in Northern Nigeria despite the
barbaric treatment bring meted out to them over there.
Our Traditional and Political leaders should 'change the sound of the beats', on these ingrates!
