Obi doesn't believe in Restructuring

So how's he going to achieve this

How many states will be able to pay 80k, the 30k self hasn't been paid by state government

So where's he going to get the money self

Obilamba is a lamba
minimum wage is not even the answer, once them increase salary things go become more expensive for market.

APC paying Nigerian workers 30,000 in this same Nigeria they’ve destroyed is demonic.

I am a Nigerian worker and my vote is for Labour Party.

Hahaha you all believe this tripe.

Here is a country in which 20 states have not yet been able to pay 30k and suddenly they will do 80k.

Then all the small companies including small restaurants and shops will all have to upgrade their staff to 80k salaries creating ripple effects on existing staff. With all that amount of money chasing so few goods inflation will be astronomical.

I hive it to LP, they know Nigerians don't query anything that matches their bias.

This is the funniest policy ever. Why not just give every Nigerian with less than 50k in their account 1m and turn all Nigerians to naira millionaires?

Now I know for sure that we are in deep trouble.

Is this achievable economically and financially? You want to wreck the country down. In a country where even a common continous payment of subsidy is taking a toll on the country.

First of all, it is achievable.
There will be no more subsidy so the subsidy can be converted to salary/wages.
There will be increased industries which will lead to booming economy.
Cost of governance will be drastically reduced. Do u know presently the benefits of 109 senators can raise workers salary to between 40k to 50k as minimum wage? And we also have 360 rep members. Imagine cutting down their bonuses and other agencies and ministries merged together so as to reduce cost. The money for governance alone can give civil servants better life. Yaradua no do well for this aspect. He raised the jumbo pay for governance to this extent.
PO is here to correct most of these errors. Even if na 60% he fit do, we are good to go.

For the sake of argument, let's say Mr Obi wins the presidential election. That'd mean we have a president without up to 10 senators or reps in his ruling labour party, how's he going to convince opposition senators to reduce their salaries and bogus allowances, something Buhari and Jonathan couldn't achieve when their party was in the majority.

The national assembly have one of the highest costs of governance, but the people who can ultimately reduce that cost are those benefitting from it - senators and reps.

How will it be possible to you when you're already use to the abnormality that has become a norm. Yes you know how things work according to Nigeria standard. A country whose senators collect about 37m a month and pay their workers minimum wage of 30k is normal to you. The budget of just the national assembly in Nigeria alone can run some countries in African today. If the cost of running governance in Nigeria is reduced and our resources not being stolen but properly utilized then you'll realized that even that 80-100k is even too small as minimum wage. You won't understand what am saying now but wait till you have a good leader then you'll understand.

But you have been paying your senators at least 35m monthly without complain but 80k to the poor masses become economically unachievable. Why not reduce the huge salaries of governors and other elected officials to accomodate the poor masses?

The problem is that most people have been in the dark so long that they have forgotten what light looks like.
Corruption has put the bulk of the money in the pockets of very few persons, coupled with the fact that we are spending so much on things that doesn't deserve the money being spent on. How can a President borrow money to buy fleet of cars for another country? How can the legislators be paid huge sums of money for sitting and discussing what they are elected to do?
So many ways the money in the economy is being wasted. Those funds can be channelled appropriately by paying workers that do the real work and by so doing lifting them from poverty... A new Nigeria is POssible

That means, in Anambra, they are paying 100k minimum wage.

Politicians and desperation for power is second to none.

Same man who was a governor for 8 solid years with nothing to show for it

A political party that has no representative in both the upper and lower Chambers of legislative arm of the country, and whose presidential candidate, while the governor of his state owed 36 months of salary, promised to raise minimum wage from #30,000 to #80,000 (roughly 300% increment), and his fans are jubilating. When we go wise up for this country?
