APC has made tremendous inroads in SS. Check 2019 presidential results and even state elections. They won Bayelsa handsomely. SS are politically savvy than SE. APC and PDP will have significant votes in SS. Mark my comment. Politicians will do anything to deliver their candidates.

Wike is not going to tell you where to vote, he will only tell his structure where to vote.

There are 3 kind of people that vote.

—The politicians and party members

—The people the politician influence within their localities. These are the people politicians pay their kid school fees, help them pay debts, they are there for them when they have problem, they give them money at times, and they fix their children in positions. Those are part of the political structure that vote.

These people vote anyone the politician tells them to vote because that is how they survive.

—People like you that have no affiliation with any politician. You will vote your own mind.

Wike can influence the first two. Somehow, due to the fact that there is always voters apathy, those first 2 set might be more or equal as the third category in certain states.

So anyone Wike support and work for will get at least 30-35% of Rivers state vote. Also knowing that Wike always fight dirty to get what he wants, that Election Day might witness violence such that ordinary people will be so afraid to come out to vote.

Wike will send boys to chase anyone that’ll vote PDP and that election will be somehow bloody in Rivers because it is a fight to finish for Wike. He must make a statement by making sure Atiku don’t have up to 10% votes in Rivers. The resultant effect will affect LP too because ordinary people won’t vote where guns are sounding continuously.

You may not be a politician but your comment shows that you know how politics works. Some don't know that a PDP member for instance will never vote any party than PDP because he or she knows that if they win, he or she will benefit. Many of the people saying Wike can't influence are not members of any political party. I know a former councillor in my ward that follows an influential politician to any party he goes because the politician gives him money almost on monthly basis.

Wike has no interest in Abuja politics. So the idea of seeking protection from BAT is crude. No other governor has worked as much as Wike in Nigeria in terms of project implementation and delivery. More so, he has invested massively in the judiciary, built a law school from scratch (the best in Nigeria currently) and handed it over to the highest authority How do you want to defeat him, especially when he has a lot to show in Rivers LOL. The best new year gift @gov. Wike can give to Nigerians is to publicly declare support for Peter Obi presidency. And that's the best decision all the G5 governors can make.
The G5 governor can reach agreement with Peter Obi that if they declare support for him and he wins, since labour party has no strong structure, no governor, no members of national assembly, Obi can later decamp to PDP. If Peter Obi as a president and have the G5 governors around him, no any force can shake him. Atiku and all his allies can easily be suffocated out of PDP.

You people will just talk or comment without applying common sense. The peculiarity of a state is very key. No matter the influence of an aspirant, the state peculiarity is very much important. If you think Wike will campaign for APC and Tinubu and the good people of Rivers state will handsomely vote for him, you must be deceiving yourself.
If he gives support to Tinubu and APC all odds will be against him. He will lose large percentage of his support base because Rivers state is a traditionally PDP state and the people hate anything APC. So the impulse of his people must be taking into consideration than his personal interest. His interest must be seen to coincide with the people interest, if it doesn't coincide, he will lose it all.
Again, him supporting APC, he will put the ambitions of all his legislative candidates into line and that will be a plus to APC in Rivers state. If you think he won't think that as a seasoned politician, then, you're a joker?
