It's simply hilarious, watching Lagos APC and their online latrine-rats masturbate themselves over an illusory bridge that they all know they're never gonna build

But why such a long time before completion that's like 4 years
Re: What The Lagos Fourth Mainland Bridge Will Look Like by Davidave(m): 7:08pm On Dec 30, 2022
Every four years as elections approaches, we hear about 4th mainland bridge...after the elections everything goes silent.

It is a game of deceit that needs to stop immediately!

the Lagos State Government through the Office of ublic Private Partnerships today announced the preferred bidder for the 4th mainland bridge project, Special Adviser, Mr. Ope George announced Messrs CCECC-CRCCIG CONSORTIUM as the preferred bidder

UPDATE: “the $2.5bn 4th Mainland Bridge is expected to be completed in 2026. This is unprecedented in our history. The Lagos State Government @followlasg, through the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, on Thursday Dec 29, 2022, announced Messrs. CCECC—CRCCIG Consortium as the preferred bidder for the construction of the proposed Fourth Mainland Bridge project.”

I don't so much trust the CCECC and CRCCIG consortium quality of jobs. At the IyanaOba junction, looking at the recently constructed bridge on the mile2 - Badagry expressway, the design has poorly interlocked interface. Coming from Iyana Ipaja, any structural engineer that observes the bridge professionally will notice what I am saying.

RCC, an Israeli company handling Sagamu to Ibadan Expressway can also be a cheaper alternative to Julius Berger but funding becomes an issue because RCC cannot give a flexible terms.

When should it have been completed?

For how long has fourth mainland bridge been touted around as a topic during electoral campaigns? As far back as 2002…

Think about it.

COMPAQ:
This bridge is overrated and will not reduce any congestion on third mainland bridge. 95% of the daily traffic on third mainland are those going to work in Marina and vi or markets on Lagos Island. The only people it might help are those in Lekki around Chevron, vgc, badore, ajah etc who are going to Ibadan. So for those, instead of going to the Lekki corridor to vi,ikoyi and on to third mainland, they can take the new bridge. But if I'm living in Lekki ph1 or oniru, I might as well take third mainland.

Marina just got a rail...

Lol... so Sanwolu project is now for Bulaba cheesy...

It's not Sanwo Olu's project. It's was part of the development meant for the Lekki Free Zone and Greater Lagos Initiative developed over 20 years ago.

Lack of funds has delayed it over the years.

They should build it and stop scoring cheap campaign points with it. We’ve heard all this annoying talks on fourth mainland bridge since 2002.

And it always comes up during the electoral campaign periods.

See the bigger picture and think.

Quite Convenient to complete for 2026, so it’ll be launched for campaign optics at that time.

Nigerians, the earlier you realise these manipulative politicians don’t give a damn about you, that’ll be the first step breaking free from their bondage.

Anyways, the poverty stricken ones who can’t see beyond the stipends politicians will give them will still come and argue here.

Some slaves really love their chains.

You would have expected them to do nothing till 2026, or how do you think?
Most of LP supporters are inherently stupid with idiotic expression.

Use your head.

Capital projects would continue to be proposed and rolled over until they are completed.

That happens worldwide.
