All my transactions today were in old notes. Nobody is even asking any question. If the masses agree to the use of it, we'll make it a legal tender by ourselves. We'll be using it amongst ourselves. Emiefele should go to hell.
You will make it legal tender amongst yourselves

Wonderful
Just don't bring it near any commercial bank
Continue spending it within yourselves

Afterall in some community trade by barter is still a thing. cheesy

This is the worst that can happen in governance; for government to put masses in suspension because of unwillingness to obey court order. What stopped Buari from announcing after his 7days request that old Naira notes should continue till supreme court case is completed. Very sad, Buari disappointed many of us
what stopped the same supreme Court from telling politicians to obey the dictates of the CBN who has jurisdiction in money matters? Does CBN have a right to interfere in election matters? Fiscal decision is an exclusive reserve of the central govt. State govts have no right to dictate what FG should and must do on this for their selfish interest.

In Ile-ife, Osun state, people are still transacting with the old money.

You said people should deposit old money in bank, where is the new ones to replace them.

Na Ogun go kill Emefiele last last, useless ibo slave.

Emefiele is a product of APC. Blame the bigger body before the small one.

If Buhari succeeds in establishing this cashless economy then I will rate him the best President since 1999. Emefiele is a genius and has written his name in gold .

Kidnapping for ransom reduced
Extortion on the road reduced
Armed robbery reduced
Bribery reduced drastically
Tax evasion reduced

In lle ife no body is accepting the old Naira note. Fuel station, markets, shops and Banks ain't collecting it. You better shut up and keep your fingers crossed while waiting for updates from tomorrow CBN, instead of ranting like a lunatic.

However if you want to blame anyone, oga blame Tinubu, because he brought buhari who in turn appointed Emefiele as the CBN governor

Sensational headline. Don't force the failed nonsense down our throat.

Many Nigerians are still spending it as matter of fact, I still withdrew some this night. In fact na me and Seyi Tinubu dey follow drag the POS lady. angry If you no want the old notes, abeg send am through courier, it's as simple as that. Lily-livered citizens angry

It's a pity we unofficially collude with the CBN to further deepen the current suffering when there's no feasible alternative. The old notes will have to coexist with the new ones till June 31st. undecided

Nobody accepts old notes in the East anymore. Commercial transporters, fuel stations, markets or shops etc.

There is no need extending the date since the masses has already implemented the fiscal reforms 😂😂

Which East are you talking about, I am in Onitsha Anambra State, old Naira notes are widely accepted, I even bought fuel with it tonight at fuel station, I even have thousands of it. The policy won't work the way things are going

Are you saying Emefiele is a saboteur and an enemy of Nigerians. I'm absolutely convinced that Emefiele is a typical educated Nigerian, plenty of certificates but very limited intelligence. He does not know his economic left from right.Just playing along.

You love suffering. I feel so sorry for you with this kind of comment. What do you gain by this kind of attitude? Do you know you can go to jail for rejecting notes that is still a legal tender?

Many shunning it dont know about the supreme court order so stop spreading lies, the old notes are the notes being circulated presently in the country, any attempt from CBN at stopping of rejecting the old notes would lead to total anarchy and people will die, banks and businesses will be set ablaze and even the CBN would be attacked,do not mess with the mind of an angry ordinary simple Nigerian,in my area in warri, delta state, some.fuel stations initially wanted to reject it yesterday morning but they eventually started accepting in the afternoon this matter big pass as some of una dey reason am o, nobody ready to lose money o,so if CBN talk anyhow, banks and bankers will receive violence o and if security agents come.out and begin fire people ehn,the country go turn upside down o,na civil war go happen.

The Supreme Court has reduced itself to null.

No serious institution has any regards for them anymore. In an unjust society, the masses can only empower the oppressors by obeying their silly laws. Let the judges walk around the country and enforce the laws themselves. That's what civil disobedience is for--when people in position of power engage in travesty of justice, the masses totally ignore them.

They did a mock trial in Imo State. Nothing happened. It emboldened them to start selling judgement to the highest bidder.

It will not reduce kidnapping. Rather, it will make them butcher the victims and use them for rituals.

It is the most wicked policy ever in the history of Nigeria. Only wicked people support such policy. People have started dying in hospitals because they can't pay their medical bills. This is what you want. I never knew we still have heartless people like you in this country.
