Since igbos don't appreciate the space, give it to your people. No Yoruba market in southeast, like we have alaba, ladipo filled with Igbo hustlers, selling fake products.
Una too mumuu
Ur leaders took ur lands and sold to non indigenes. Thesame leaders increase shop rents making it difficult for origins to afford. Thesame leaders impose heavy taxations on these markets making it impossible for locals to afford..hold ur leaders accountable for selling ur lands to foreigners. The Atlantic city being built is largely owned by Indians, Lebanese and Chinese. 50 years from now una go stil come wail say foreigners don take over una land

Shut up, you slave refugees are poor, lots of people will take over immediately once you are kicked out, Lagos is international, those markets can be turned to industrial areas, those market are not really needed.

90% of hustlers there are scammers and 75% of goods they sold there is fake or inferior.

It is time to prioritize the well being of the Yoruba citizens.. and protect the economy of the indigenous Yoruba people. By creating viable environment for the Yoruba man and woman to trade effectively and not allow our markets to be taken over by foreigners who are non indigenous people to the southwest... Across divides Britain, Germany and the United States have programs to protect the economic rights of indigenous peoples.... Southwest States should immediately commence such protectionism in all our markets.

While we thank the SW governments for the DAWN Commission that birthed the Western Security Network aka Amotekun... It is time we take matters of our economic prosperity and development serious by having protectionism for our indigenous Yoruba people who must take possession of over 80% of our markets including shopping malls... This is very important and a standard global economic practice worldwide EU countries have these, South Africa countries have these, UK has these even within the different conglomerates that form the UK.

Na Govt dey help igbos for market?

When an igbo boy of 18 years enters market and struggle his way up without Govt aid, you will sit inside your father's room asking Govt to help you compete?

Chai, the fear of igbos..

Are you people scared of competition and hustling?

Omo laziness is genetic true true ooo..

Nonsense, one or two wal mart sized retailers will render 90% of you bankrupt. If fact, you will be forced to choose between getting a job or returning to wherever you came from.

Wrong. Huge retailers often incur considerable waste and as a result sell at higher prices. Jumia, Shop-Rite and several others., they all came around and yet Igbo businesses are stronger than ever. Instead of consoling yourself in useless hallucinations and daydreams you should be talking about what Yoruba can learn from the Igbos and how they can work together for mutual benefit.

This is the way forward. Yoruba Politicians better realise that if they don't start helping their own and creating Yoruba competitions to Igbo businesses in Lagos, it will not spell well for them. A time will come Chukwudi Nwachukwu from Nnewi will contest for governorshipin Lagos and he will win and they best the Yorubas can do is rant and fight. Leaders better act now.

We have nothing to learn from Ibos. Yoruba towns were centered around markets long before the British brought us together. Who were the people selling in these markets, Ibos?
Huge retailers incur huge waste! Spoken like a true Ibo man.

All these threads are not necessary. They make us look like weaklings and desperados.

The Government cannot do everything for us under this "Nigeria"; there are many limitations. Those countries you mentioned are independent countries protecting their citizens and economic sovereignty against non citizens. It's different in our context here.

If you are serious, you can start by not selling or leasing your properties to them. Then the rest will follow.

This is becoming embarrassing!

Starting with the King's markets the iyalojas and babalojas need to be up and doing.... Local governments must provide soft loans and credit facilities strictly for indigenous Yoruba people to operate.

Our graduates must be empowered to take over all imports and exports to the southwest region and Nigeria as a whole. We have the ports

Your governors will not listen to you because the igbos pay majority of the IGR generated. Beside, some Yorubas don't have hustling spirit and they are lazy just like you.

Go to Onitsha or Aba, small small boys have 2 to 3 shops with goods worth over 10m in it.

This your mentality is the reason Lagos and Nigeria remain the way it is. Incompetent over merit. So if I own a mall in SW and I want to recruit, I should leave merit and hire incompetent because of tribe? Kole work

The domination is only in your dumb imagination. Business doesn't end in thousands of small mom and pop shops. Yorubas are making cool money in all areas of commerce including buying and selling which you claim is the exclusive preserve of Ibos.
Yet, organized retailing is not what you engage in. Carry on with your delusions while selling fake substandard items and claiming to be champions of commerce.

We must guide our Yoruba national defense. ... improve the overall balance of payments of all Yoruba States, increase massively the multilevel employment opportunities for indigenous people in the southwest region, protect indigenous Infant industries, and ensure a level playing field. ...

I ask again who are the 'WE' you always use in your statement? Egbo, fear is written all over you even in your statement. Rich Yoruba people don't have time for all this your fear. Na the poor ones who don't know we're there next meal will come from are scared of igbos taking over.

They kill people behind such innovative developments.... In fact they were chased or rather strictly prohibited from spare parts trading in oshogbo because it was discovered that people of southeastern origins connived to murder a booming spare parts importer of oshogbo origin.... This is why the policy must be gazetted officially in our laws.

Go to the southeast and check for twelve prosperous Yoruba people there and report back here. One Nigeria doesn't mean indigenous people should be annihilated while non indigenous people engage in unfair practices. Enough is enough. Academic scholarships for non indigenous people should be terminated across southwestern States same for free medical care as well as tuition free education. These should be strictly enforced for only indigenous people of the southwest
if you see one Igbo girl now for your area you go confuse. You better get something doing for yourself.

1. Stop selling/leasing land to igbos
2. Higher tax regimes for Igbo businesses in the SW
3. Higher tuition fees for igbos right from Primary school in the SW. No more free education for non indigenes.
4. Zero appointments for Igbos in SW civil service. Permanent or causal.
5. Strict ethic profiling of igbos in the SW.
6. Higher LUC for properties owned by igbos .
7. Renaming of streets in SW bearing Igbo names.
8. All markets must have babaloja and iyaloja. Igbos must not be allowed to control any markets in SW.

Since we can't officially deport them (for now)
Target and cripple their businesses and work opportunities in SW.. they will leave in droves and migrate elsewhere to continue their nefarious lifestyles
