God bless you my sister. In 1952 or there about. An Hausa/Fulani man was elected the 1 mayor of the whole of Eastern Nigeria. It was celebrated, he was there, till the civil war began, until Awolowo came after and sowed the seed of tribalism and nepotism. Over 70yrs after, we are yet to heal from it's devastating effect.
In this election, under Buhari and APC, a big sword, has been driven into the soul of the unity of this country.
It's a shame, that Nigerians are being profiled,by party and tribe, before the can vote in an election, in Lagos State, that is the center of excellence. Till nor, neither President Buhari, his Vice- President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Reps, nor the president-elect, have said anything against it.
It's a seed, it has been sown, only God knows how long it will take to get it out of fabric of the nation.

Awolowo never sold the seed of discord your tribal army and tribal people started the mistrust we are experiencing now.

Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.

During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.

Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying their alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.

How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.

Sanwo Olu victory is not coming as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'

At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob.
All your desperate crap failed to rationalize the continual incarceration of Leah Sharibu and slaughter of Christians inside churches.

It is now they start seeing it after 8yrs of blackmail, ethnic profiling, insults and rain of abuses on North/Fulani/Muslims.
Since independence, only a group of people are causing all sort of tribal disputes.
When Sardauna made a statement abt Northernisation policy some people thought he was tribal bigot not knowing that the foresight in the mind of Northern leaders is exceptional.
Sardauna said he prefer expatriate to some group of people in Nigeria because they always want to dominate their host at any given opportunity and in this election he is vindicated by the way those people are making silly statements abt Lagos!

They claim Igbos want to take over Lagos. They claim Igbos call Lagos a no man's land in order to take over Lagos. But ask them where Igbos gathered to agree that Lagos is a no man's land and must be taken over and they will quote a Twitter post created by one APC/Tinubu supporter bearing Igbo name to incit.

With this 2023 debacle called election, more eyes are open, more Igbos who used to be neutral are woke now.

All these honorable suggestions of how to solve the inequalities in Nigeria to give every tribe and region a level playing ground by Igbos will stand as testimonies that Igbos asked for equality and level playing ground but were mocked by those who feel they are destined to win and celebrate forever while others are destined to fail and be marginalized forever. Time will reveal, time will tell

There's nothing like tribalism in yorubaland. We're accommodating and welcoming and that's why Yorubaland is developing. It was tinubu who came and changed the status quo by breeding thuggery. Was it Pa Awolowo who wasn't accommodating or who? How many thugs did Pa Awo breed? When tinubu talks, just analyse his words. You'd realise how stinking it is. No good man or leader talks the way he does, just like a drunk man. Is it normal for people to snatch ballot boxes and attack people openly just because they want to end bad governance?

It's not today opposition has been winning in Lagos and Yorubaland? Heaven didn't fall when it happened. Even if another candidate rises tomorrow to contest, urchins will still complain. Jimmy Agbaje was even called an igbo agenda. PDP, an opposition had won Lagos before and it won't be the last for an opposition. All tribes represented here jointly made it happen. Amazingly, most of those preaching tribal messages are among the poorest of the poor. They're badly hit by the policies of bad governance. This is just the beginning. Things can always get better with better people occupying our political space. No more free votes.

By the time Tinubu's empire ends, his supporters will be put where they belong. The end to his empire has just started as you can see. Nothing lasts forever.
Yorubas done cast ...try to attack Tinubu empire you would be labeled Igbo and that's the end

*■RHODES AND RHODES-VIVIOUR FAMILIES■*
♧There is a need to draw attention to the difference between the two families in Lagos Island.
♧While the original RHODES Family are post slave trade generational LAGOSIANS of Popo Aguda Extraction the RHODES-VIVOUR family are later day migrants from Opobo in Rivers State; there relatable are still there till today.
♧Not that it matters much but it helps to understand the Pan Nigerian inclination of the RHODES-VIVOUR family in Lagos. We accept everyone in Lagos, but we keep our ancestral lineages and inheritances intact for a day like this..
♧Indeed, the real ancestral RHODES family heritage is being fraudulently mixed confused and attributed to Rhodes-Vivour in respect of City Hall Lagos without any attempt by the original RHODES Family to correct the wrong optics...thereby passing-off its own antecedents; just to avoid its political decorations and tribal barbarism.
♧The original RHODES Family will not want to be part of anything that relates to RHODES-VIVOUR's claim to our own ancestral RHODES Family of Lagos Island, and we appeal to those political leaders mixing up RHODES-VIVOUR with RHODES Family of Lagos Island to desist from that or else may face legal consequences...
Thanks and God Bless You All....

I totally understand what you are saying here.

In fact, knowing my Igbo people eh, if an Igbo man or someone considered to be an Igbo 'mistakenly' becomes the governor of Lagos eh, you Yoruba people no go hear word for us again.

So to avoid such a situation ever happening, the powers that be in Lagos, working closely with the thugs made sure it never happened while most of you openly non-tribalistic but yet secretly tribalistic Yoruba voters cheered them on.

It's all good.

It's all politics.

It's just the way it is.

Have always loved the Ibos with all my heart and infact most of my friends and associates are Ibos and I don't even see anything strange in that....I voted and campaign for Peter Obi but changed my disposition when it became clear that the majority of the Ibos see Obi as their own personal person and not a Nationalist like I do. They take Obi as a messiah that would take Lagos from the Yorubas and put in Ibos. As a symbol where every part of this country can be annexed by the Ibos and so bad and sad that most Ibos have bad mouthed their Yoruba host that welcome you as family into their midst and you prosper.......what else do you need from them instead of conniving to take their land from them.......imagine the fact that you ain't even close to Lagos geographically......how do you intend to steal Lagos from such a far distance Ibo people?

How do you believe what you just wrote here? You trusted Obi and that’s why you campaigned and voted for him, did Obi ever come out to say Lagos is no man land or anything of that sort? And how many of those your close ibo friends made fun of you that they taking over your land? How was it not obvious to you that all those propaganda are the work of evil politician using tribal lines to divide us!

I laugh when u said to is tinubu who messed things up and u continue with pa awolowo who was a right man. May be u are young or u did not put your ear to d ground to know how the ibos have hated pa awolowo. Ibos are not d tribe to be supported in any way. A tribe that does not know what they want. They hated Awolowo and hated Tinubu. What do they want. They are all claiming yorubas are bigot and we hate d ibos. Do they realize then years they have been living with us on our land without problem. Doing business and excelling. Now it is when their ingratitude wants to put them in problem they are calling yoruba names. It is now I understand what sir Ahmadu Bello said about them. Ibos are nice but they must stop this ingratitude approach and drop their ego and be loyal to their host. There yorubas too in d SE and SS but u can't hear them dragging d place with them. I just pity d yorubas supporting them. Obi won d presidential election. That one is not enough for u. U started insulting yorubas in their land that u will take over their land and send their Obas away. Who does that. Can ibos allow this same shit on their land. They have ego and can't take advice or correction when u give them they will still argue with you. Let me remind them how they have ridiculed d yorubas in Kwara about d afonja issue. It is stupid to now want to do d same in Lagos.
In 1966,despite d ibos held d high positions in d Nigeria army, they still plan coup. Can u just imagine. Still they will blame other tribe for their problem. I do ask them, who do ibos want. Nigeria u all claimed is zoo now u said tinubu stole your mandate. How imagine ibos believe GRV will win Lagos State is what i dont know. Ibos fall mugu for Lagos. Ibos big mouth is their first weakness. They talk too much. They can keep quiet. They should learn how to keep quiet. Go and watch Kaduna Nzeogwo interview. It was d interview that provoked d hausas and d fulanis to come with counter coup. Despite d Hausa killed d ibos, ibos never talked against d hausas on that but the yorubas is their problem.

Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)

It’s funny that if their candidate won, it would have been victory for democracy and ONE NIGERIA, but when they don’t have their way, they scream everywhere.

My take is what goes around comes around. When Igbos will hit us back we Yorubas should not complain. I know Igbos because they don't forget things easily and they will remind us all we did to them soon that is who they are. They will keep quite but they will eventually retaliate.

Yes, they never forget...and that's why we are where we are today. The war was over in 1970, but they never forgot, and never moved on. Always telling their children that Yoruba people can never be trusted. Calling Yoruba people cowards at every chance they get. Always blaming a whole tribe for the sins of a few people from that tribe decades after those people have died. They started this recent tribal war, and when it appeared like they were taking the kindness of Yoruba people for weakness, Yoruba people had to unite and defend their heritage.

We should be celebrating the failure of Nzogbu Nzogbu politics. We should learn to always remove the log in our own eyes first. We move! grin

After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. Nobody has ever dragged lagos with Yoruba. It is you that came from Oshogbo, but claiming Lagosian that has problem. You call igbos visitors in their own country, but forgot that you are also a visitor in the same lagos, despite you are from yoruba tribe cos you are not a Lagosians.
I have never seen a devilish tribe like Yoruba who always resort to tribalism and hatred over igbos.
Igbos have contributed immensely in developing lagos.Any little misunderstanding you rot their goods and burn their goods, and you didn't see any bad thing about it.You guys are lazy and could not competent with igbos that's why you resort in to hatred. One day one day, we will offer you guys this wars you guys are looking for

Then you don't know your own history as a Yoruba. Yorubas are more than capable of handling that. Yorubas are not new to cohabitation. The 1st Alaafin of Oyo married a Nupe woman, the mother of the 2nd Alaafin of Oyo. The 2nd Alaafin of Oyo was also married to another Nupe woman! Isiaka Adeleke was governor of Osun in the 90s. His mother is Igbo. His brother was a senator and now serving governor of Osun State. The governor of Ondo State is married to an Igbo woman. The mother of Desmond Elliot is Igbo.

Yorubas will adjust. It is the Igbos that have the most lessons to learn and absorb. They are not the only non-natives in Lagos. Why are the Edos, Ijaws, Hausas etc not having all these issues? I won't apportion any blame anymore but sorry, Yorubas are always ready for any retaliation but will continue to live well with those who appreciate the beauty of mutual respect.

The only tribalistic elements are in apc. Pdp hasn't been tribalistic bt they have unethical.

apc is tribalistic, unethical and antidemocratic.

Their disgrace is coming.
PDP is not tribalistic but they refuse to ceed the presidency to the Southeast.
