That's what happens when you present a candidate that tweets "Afonja" and is Anti-Yoruba.

Let's also not forget the partisan TV stations like Arise TV and some other social media influencers, that gave the "Lagos is no man's land" chant a megaphone.

I am not aware of any Igbo politician that chanted LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND in this election season.
It was only Yoruba bigots that kept shouting it.

I am not aware of Arise TV giving a megaphone to any LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND chant. I need you to supply multiples instances of Arise TV, doing what you said.

Olabode George, who is a Lagosian, and a Yoruba for that matter, was the person that promoted GRV to prominence, so I have no idea how Igbos sponsored GRV to prominence.

Severe repercussions will follow soon, especially now that Simon Ekpa is talking about his people. operating in Lagos. That is when you will realize that messing with the Igbos is not an advisable approach.
Already, international bodies have ruled that this 2023 elections was a sham. There is nothing you can do about it. All these tribal attacks against Igbos, in an attempt to throw in a spanner in the Obidient work, will come to nothing.

They claim Igbos want to take over Lagos. They claim Igbos call Lagos a no man's land in order to take over Lagos. But ask them where Igbos gathered to agree that Lagos is a no man's land and must be taken over and they will quote a Twitter post created by one APC/Tinubu supporter bearing Igbo name to incite Yorubas against Igbos. Yorubas should be aware that nature rewards every act of injustice against fellow humans.

How is it even possible for Igbos to take over Lagos, how?

Tinubu have deceived many Yorubas with his tribal-religious politics of hatred for Igbos. We have learned a big lesson. Only foolish Igbos will refuse to learn from this election.

In 2015 and 2019, they accused Jimmy Agbaje of being Igbo trying to bring Igbo agenda. The moment Agbaje joined them play dirty politics they welcomed him and gave him Pharmaceutical supply contracts. In 2019 when Igbos said Ambode performed well and will be good to continue, they accused Ambode of bringing Igbos into Yoruba affair.

When Igbos massively voted for Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003, they hailed Igbos, and some condemned Igbos that they are not United in politics that that is why Igbos cant produce president. When Obasanjo told them it is Igbo turn to produce President, they called Obasanjo Omo ale with Igbo father from Anambra and denied Obasanjo tenure as Yoruba tenure.

When Femi Fani Kayode was standing for truth with Igbos, they called him Omo ale who is being deceived by his Igbo wife. The moment FFK joined them in playing dirty politics, they start to hail him and call him true Omoluabi. Igbos voted Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003, Anambra voted massively for MKO in 1993, but the moment Igbos voted for Obi they became tribalist seeking for Igbo agenda after supporting Presidents from other tribes since 1999, its well.

its all good

This is the bitter truth.

What Op proposed should be hailed and supported by Yorubas as a more sane way of telling Igbos to go back to Southeast.

Replicate all the key government agencies and parastatals in Lagos in Southeast so that Igbos will never have any reason to be trooping to Lagos.

But unfortunately the same people telling Igbos to go back to Southeast will never accept this simple solution, but let them enjoy it while it last because it is normal for those intoxicated by stolen undeserving victory to see their stolen victory as a windfall and a winner takes it all, only time can teach them the hard lessons about life.

Greeks, Romans, etc empires never believed a time would come that they will never be in control, it always look impossible and like it will last forever, but alas when the crumbling will start, it will almost look like its spiritual.

With this 2023 debacle called election, more eyes are open, more Igbos who used to be neutral are woke now.

All these honorable suggestions of how to solve the inequalities in Nigeria to give every tribe and region a level playing ground by Igbos will stand as testimonies that Igbos asked for equality and level playing ground but were mocked by those who feel they are destined to win and celebrate forever while others are destined to fail and be marginalized forever. Time will reveal, time will tell

*when the crumbling will start, it will almost look like it's spiritual.*

2023 $election has proven the level of wickedness, tribalism, selfishness and political brutality some horrible set of Yorubas are soaked in.

At least every igbo descendants far and wide is aware now and understand better what MNK is yearning and crying for!
Time heals all. Time will tell.

If Nigeria is a country of white people, the political and traditional leaders of the diverse ethno-religious groups of Nigeria would have gathered long ago to split the country into more functional and manageable new countries.
Continuing with one Nigeria is like mortgaging the future of unborn generations of Nigerians in the most dysfunctional country in the world.

My advice to the Ibos.

Ibos move your PVC to your hometown; politics is local, decide your leaders, don’t decide for others. Invest money in your home state. Stay away from getting too comfortable. Pre-Civil War, you made the same error. Don't repeat it! After that happens, you might consider removing your investments from a location where there is open animosity toward you. Never behave like the Hebrews did in Egypt. Don’t be too comfortable!

Quit agitating. Build your home. Make ndigibo a better place by following the example of the Unity that allowed you to rise above the civil war. And if, after building a home, you decide to become a nation, if you are all ready. Choose lawmakers who support the proposed changes and get it done. Avoid destroying your region through so-called agitations because politicians will seize control of them.

My brother alot of igbos threatened us, I'm sure you read all this things online naaaa..

We have alot of ethnic groups in Lagos, even foreigners, but why is it always IGBOS that always have issues with the locals??

Please genuinely ask yourself this question..Just do your business and enjoy your money in peace . Leave the local politics, I swear peace will reign..

Excellent suggestion. I will take it a bit further, Move the capital of Nigeria to Abia state, pump the same amount of money for 20 to 25 years, then see if Lagos will not decongest. But the same ones asking Igbos to leave are the same ones collecting levies and getting fat off the "OSUs"
Everyone has a right to governance where they pay their taxes, That is how a modern society works.
This is like saying if you are not Yoruba, dont vote, they should make that a rule in Lagos state constitution and own it with their chest.

Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.

During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.

Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.

How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.

Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)

At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob.

Na stretch mark I see but that's just by the way. To stop tribalism, let everybody go back to their state to vote in next election, we wouldn't have this rubbish where Ibos want to choose who becomes governor in Lagos. If you say you pay your tax in Lagos, you can easily relocate to your state to pay your tax there. With that, we will have peace.

It's you that actually don't get it. Sanwo Olu will win because he deserved to win and has done well for Lagos. People of all tribes voted for Sanwo Olu. People voted for Peter Obi over Tinubu because of character, strength and competence. People needed change at the national level and not necessarily at the state level.

Peter Obi stated it consistently that he shouldn't be voted for based on tribe or religion. It's quite appalling that you can still attribute religion to his campaign.

It's also shocking that you can drag Arise TV who has been the most neutral and unbiased media for the last decade into this sentiment.

What do you think will happen if it was a Christian - christian candidate? Do you think that Nigeria will still remain one if they won? Now, if this can't be tolerated from christians , why should it be tolerated from Muslims?

It's also shocking that you are dragging CAN into this election. CAN that has always dissociated itself from the political brouhaha all through this electioneering period.

Your write up is biased. It will be fooling of you to think that Sanwo Olu won because of Yoruba votes.

Leave the local politics, I swear peace will reign..

but I never saw anywhere ohaneze endorsed and candidate, or any prominent Igbo group endorsed any candidate, one honest question if the Igbos had endorsed sanwo olu would you have criticized them? Because it seems like anyone not supporting apc is being tagged the enemy, I can remember four years ago the oba and others threatened the Igbos because of the accusation of them likely supporting agbaje and pdp, now agbaje isnt on the ballot neither is pdp getting anything but the hate and aggression still remains.

You guys are so arrogant and easily draw people that loves you to anger and hatred. Have always loved the Ibos with all my heart and infact most of my friends and associates are Ibos and I don't even see anything strange in that....I voted and campaign for Peter Obi but changed my disposition when it became clear that the majority of the Ibos see Obi as their own personal person and not a Nationalist like I do. They take Obi as a messiah that would take Lagos from the Yorubas and put in Ibos. As a symbol where every part of this country can be annexed by the Ibos and so bad and sad that most Ibos have bad mouthed their Yoruba host that welcome you as family into their midst and you prosper.......what else do you need from them instead of conniving to take their land from them.......imagine the fact that you ain't even close to Lagos geographically......how do you intend to steal Lagos from such a far distance Ibo people?

That lie again? How did you make Igbos prosper?
How are igbos conniving with Yoroubas to take their land from them? Than Yoroubas selling their swaps to igbos while vying for their votes during election?
Some of your lies makes me cringe.

Can you point to me one igbo man that contested or won under Lp in Lagos?

I am particularly happy because the Eastern part of Nigeria have been loosing investment to the Southwest because they ( big men in igbo land) never believe yoruba is tribalistic and will turn wild, now they understand better. In the coming years i hope and strongly believe the Eastern part of Nigeria will receive greater investment. The story is spread across Nigeria and it is now glaring that the Southwest isn't an investment option for non yorubas. It is better to make your money somehow and invest in your region because home is home. The situation is a natural win wi n because before now many igbos paid deaf ear to the warning never to invest in the Southwest but to do that at home.

Pls don’t give such racist advice .. we want the igbos to keep investing in youruba land and dilude themselves… the only thing we neeed is that they should respect their host

It isn’t racist. That’s the truth. Why is it that every election cycle the politicians make it about the Ibos??

Was BRF not the governor of Lagos? Did the Ibos not support him and vote for him?

The political elites stoked all of this ethnic and religious prejudice, which spread when Jimi Agbaje ran for governor and looked prepared to win the Ibo vote. The Igbos want to take your land, the propaganda went. And a supposedly revered stool warned a whole ethnic community that if they did not vote for a certain candidate—even though both are Yoruba—they would drown in the lagoon.

Even one of them was a native Lagosian. Then they started threatening. those who have devoted a lot of investment to a location. I had always heard the cliche that Lagos is a "No man's land" even at home. I'm not even sure who came up with the saying, but blaming the Ibos for everything is revolting! Is Jimi Agbaje not a full-blooded Yoruba?

Due of tribalism, you all are now putting a lot of effort into making LP a regional party. The Ibos are keeping quiet despite the fact that their tribesman won a presidential election that was clearly manipulated, so see how everything is calm. Consider for a moment that if Obi had been a Yoruba candidate, you guys would have made it a Yoruba vs. Ibo conflict.

Even in the US, the white supremacist party constantly tries to win the support of black immigrants rather than oppose them. The Yoruba political leaders are acting in the same way that Trump did to win the 2016 elections by fanning racism.

In Rivers, they backed Wike in his fight with an Amaechi. I haven't heard of any instances where Amaechi attempted to inflame tribalism by making Wike appear to be an Ibo candidate. And just so you know, given the example Yoruba have set, other corrupt political elites will likely soon do the same. creating "Chinedus" out of opposing contenders. Una well done for setting a negative precedent that extends from tribal conflicts to profiling.

You can rant and paint all the bullishii you want to paint. The fact is that this vile and uncontrollable dynamics you helped in pushing out will consume you also. You think you are indemnified? You are so wrong, when the nation goes up in flames it will be like a nuclear bomb. It will reach everybody, your party started this demonic trend and it will consume you all.

But I'm sorry ,all your write ups is not adding! Yorubas didn't fight a good fight, they forth in envy, bitterness and hate! Suppression of vote,is that what you call fight? Do you even think it was all yorubas that joined in this show of shame? I'm quite sure if you ask true law abiding yorubas without sentiments to outline the rules of engagement in winning the heart's of all yorubas to become united I'm very sure majority would not choose this your mode of violence to achieve that! because weather you like it or not it will be counter productive as time would indeed tell, Supposing we had a responsible government who values law and order ,will such nonsense and barbaric act displayed by your tribes men in this gubernatorial and house of assembly elections ever take place? Then would you come here to loud your mouth that Yorubas United? It's indeed a shameful thing to brag about this ,more so , generalising it as a team work by your yorubas compatriots.

This Bolanle Olukanni is so naive, she is still living in the Euphoria of when Yoruba parents schooled their children in providing and attending to strangers within them. Shine shine your eyes. Those days are gone.

Indeed your very existence is under threats from the North and your own South. It is even easier for the Igbo because Yoruba took them in as brothers and sisters while all the while their Igbo parents imbued suspicion in their children, never to trust Yoruba because Awolowo did not allow Zik to become Premier in the West.

Yet, all the honest Igbo old Millionaires and Billionaires made it from Yorubaland from Pa Ojukwu. All their old politicians like Zik, were mentored by Herbert Macaulay, a Yoruba.

It should not be surprising that out of this Euphoria like that of naive Bolanle Olukanni, the Yoruba Youths voted for Obi against Tinubu, a man of soiled character no honest Yoruba love. But are willing to tolerate out of fear of greater frienemy.

Igbo exploited these naive children with their "sophisticators, accommodatetors" and so called civilized ways of embracing them.

When Igbo wrestle and become existential threat, you better fight back. Igbo have no better benefactors outside Yorubaland in the whole wide world.

They will grab onto the likes of Bolanle Olukanni but these are uninformed children breeding house mice for bush rats.
