People like this foolish bigoted man shouldn’t be allowed to use social media. Infact, Nigeria is too volatile to be an entity.

At this point, I dare say Nigeria can never be one. We’re just deceiving ourselves.

This Nazist mentality of who should or shouldn’t be allowed to do anything is one of the reasons why others are wary of you guys! Its no surprise that none of you condemned the provocation and insults your ppl embarked on throughout this election period, because your campaign for ‘one nigeria, one people is all fake and ill-conceived! Tufiakpa!

Hope they listen, moreover they won't even be able to interfere in our election process again because**************

Yorubas have learnt their lessons now. There is no state in the country where you are free to do anyhow as a visitor. Be it in the South East or the North. You must abide by the culture of the people and respect them as a people. Respect their institutions and choice of leadership. The Yorubas cannot go to the SE to start struggling for political positions with them and posting it online attached with lots of insults. The igbos will never take it and they will resist it will the utmost violence. You don’t interfere in the local elections but for the Presidential election everyone is free to engage. Leave the local elections to the ethnic group to choose their leaders do no interfere. If you think you can interfere in the local elections then it means you can also participate in choosing the traditional rulers for the people. What happened in the governorship election in lagos has to happen because the igbos were determined to suppress the Yorubas using GRV as a willing tool. Yorubas won’t take this. All yorubas have now been made self aware of the satanic plans to subjugate the people by the visitors in their midst. Everyone’s eyes are now opened, no more liberality and reckless accommodation. Everyone is now tribalistic because others are in their region and have thought the yorubas how to be tribalistic. The igbos should have behaved themselves and remain in their place in the Lagos governorship elections.

I see your point. but that's already happening now, especially with the yorubas and the northerners.. They try to galvanize the minorities against the igbos, so that they can feel useful. That is not sustainable. it is borderline genocide.

I think breaking up will work. The smaller tribes can coexist and even fare better than now.

Dry your.tears and join a party and work for the laws to.change in your favour then.

You think it is by crying divide Nigeria on Nairaland that you will get your vision?

U are funny really, comparing Kano and Lagos when the situation is totally different, in Kano there was no ethnic card....it was pure politics but in Lagos u have the ethnic card been played, six or seven months ago....labor party stood no chance, the guy in Lagos no one remembered his mom was ibo, it was APC versus PDP but came obi.....and suddenly u have this ethnic card been played. Why can't we do a free and fair election without using these backwards tactics, are the trying to tell us that if a Yoruba marries an ibo woman then automatically he can't contest for governorship because I don't get it....the civil war was fought for one Nigeria but I dare not say that the yorubas who die for it died in vain cause why have one Nigeria if this is what it means Things are expensive everywhere and the country is moving backwards daily and yet we have docile citizens!

This should be the last time igbos will put their mouth in an affair like Lagos gubernatorial election..

They can aspire for senate and house of rep but when it comes to lagos governorship , they should mind their business..

If any Yoruba candidate comes to Igbos for endorsement, let them tell him to go and get his tribe endorsement.. Igbos should only align with whoever the majority of the tribe agree with...

Igbo should mind their business in Lagos... Hausa don't meddle into yoruba issue like igbos do...

I repeat:

House of Rep - Igbos are allowed
Senate - Allowed
Governor - Banned till Jesus comes and even if Jesus comes, igbos are not allowed.

Nonsense !

Stop being so careless can southwest person ever hold any position in Igbo land ? Or even buy land.

With all due respect, Mr Bayo Onanuga has spoken like an educated illiterate.

The question that is begging for answer is whether a citizen residing outside their state of origin is entitled to vote at their place of residence as a Nigerian. If such person is entitled to vote, can that be termed as interference in the election of any candidate?

Let educated Nigerians answer this question

Lagos belong to all Nigerians. No one owns Lagos. Yorubas are not indigence of Lagos, they are from Togo and Benin republic. They should allow igbos and hausas to practice their franchise. Infact yorubas should go to Togo and Benin republic to cast their votes and leave 7s Nigerians to do our things.

The dominance instinct of the igbos should be limited to the South Eastern states. Because we sold land to you, doesn't mean you will try and use the democratic system to install a leader against the wish of the Yorubas.
As for GRV, your political career is dead unless you kneel and beg Tinubu and other Yoruba leaders for betraying your tribe.

Before our very eyes it's happening. Yorubas resenting their brothers because of Igbos. Igbos, please give them more wives so that their population of 'foreign children' will increase in Lagos. The fight will be among the Yorubas. No Igbo woman will not give her child an Igbo name. Small small like that una go take over.

The level of ignorance at work in your life is pathetic bro. That Igbos are not free to choose to vote for either Sanwo Olu (a Yoruba man) or Gbadebo Rhodes Vivors (another Yoruba man) shows how hateful and vengeful, hypocritical and fooo.lish all of you who share same opinion as Bayo Adenuga are.
If it is clear that voting Sanwo Olu is voting Yoruba agenda, it means that a Yoruba man called Gbadebo Rhodes Vivors has already been disqualified from being elected to a Yoruba office of Governor of Lagos State by those who feel that they are more Yoruba than Gbadebo Rhodes Vivors. That is the crime the Igbos committed in Lagos, daring to prefer one Yoruba man called Gbadebo Rhodes Vivors over the other called Sanwo Olu. No other crime.
