Countless times, I have tried to delete some contacts from my phone, but they still come back to my phone memory once I refresh my WhatsApp contacts.

I even delete it from my Google contacts (where I backed them up) but it still comes back. Pls what can be done?

The contacts are probably linked.
You want to unlink those numbers and delete.

They are backed in your gmail I guess.

Use a different phone to sign in and see the difference.

Or clear cache and storage of your WhatsApp.

Go to settings, apps, WhatsApp, storage , clear cache.

The numbers are probably saved in your Google account.
So go to

accounts.google.com

And sign in. When you do that, search for contacts and you'll see the contacts that are saved into your Google account then you can delete it from there.

I have checked. It's not from my gmail. The numbers there are the right ones. No of the deleted ones are there.

I think it's from my WhatsApp. Maybe I'll delete my WhatsApp account and reopen it again.

I think it's from my WhatsApp. Maybe I'll delete my WhatsApp account and reopen it again.
