I have once worked in a casino where I was required to do away with my phone during working hours. We put our phones at the lockers that was provided for employees during working hours. During break period which last for about 30minutes, we have access to our phones.

There is no big deal with such working conditions. It would make employees to focus on their jobs and not be distracted with their phones during working hours

The environment you work determines the rule. In some cases for safety reasons in other for productivity sake.
For establishment that operate such they usually have an emergency line that can be reached should any occur.

my work place we don't go inside with our phone, we drop it at the security post. the security personnel sef carry the work for head like say na federal government work too. them go search you, still use their garret electronic again, the thing dey vex me ehn, but what i go do na. that's the policy but for just for a while.
