The eruption of fighting on April 15 between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group has triggered a humanitarian crisis, killed 420 people, leaving 3700 injured and trapped millions of Sudanese without access to basic services. Complaints of inconsistent/little/no communication from the team is noted. However, they've run out of diesel. There's no electricity & therefore poor network coverage. They've since found a way to recharge batteries & will update SA nationals regarding evacuation plans. Our security agencies are far advanced with the evacuation plan. Clayson Monyela, South Africa's Head of Public Diplomacy We have been given the cost estimate and all the details. They gave us a figure of 5500 who are ready for evacuation. Obviously, what you need in a situation like this is a place where everybody can congregate before you start moving them out. Because the airports, as you pointed out in your report, it is out of commission. The only viable way out is by road. https://www.nairaland.com/7663900/fg-evacuate-5500-nigerians-stranded#122707103 4 Likes 1 Share

I was shocked to see that they were even using fighter jets to bomb each other. Too bad. This tells us that politicians will do anything in their power just to hold on to power. Even if they level the whole of Sudan, they don't care as long as they hold on to power. Nigerians should learn from this. Those of you dancing to the tune of our political leaders. Given them the platform to destroy the little peace that we enjoy. When things escalate badly, na the poor citizens go suffer, whilst their family will be in a better country watching aljazeera news. 105 Likes 10 Shares |

ada9ja: That is what our f**lish citizens don't know. Our politicians can not campaign successful without using religion and ethnic sentiments, just to stir up emotions. And the blind and poor citizens will be cheering them up. Some of the Muslim leaders who are shouting to their people not to vote for non Muslims mostly have their children schooling in Christian country. I know some top politicians here in the north whose children are schooling in Christian university down south. They are not afraid that the school might brainwash their children away from Islam. But during election they will be shouting to the poor masses that they should vote for Muslims who will advance the cause of their religion. 31 Likes 1 Share |

While useless government of Buhari and APC tells Nigerian citizens in Sudan to lock themselves inside house, other countries are finding ways to evacuate their own citizens, not until airpeace volunteer to lift Nigerian citizens, but the government does nothing. I am from Akwa Ibom, but I wish igbos can just mine their businesses in this shit hole and allow most of these idiots there who are not from south south or south east to perish. instead of trying to rescue them . It's obvious, that igbos are being hated in Nigeria and there's nothing you can do that will please this bunch of ungrateful beings here. Onyema now is not IPOB, not cannibal, not Lamidi cownu urine sniffer, not IPob patron. 29 Likes 3 Shares |
