frank33: Buy a 6 tyre truck (15-20 tons capacity). Insure it and let it be put to work. It will fetch 800k - 1m monthly. You can use the balance to migrate on your own in the interim and pick up from there. We manage trucks, to serve FMCGs. Let me know if you wish to partner. 1 Like |

Guy i commend your decision to move. If e no di move for one side u can always move! Abuja is a nice place to move as its not as congested as Lagos. However be very careful as you organize your relocation. You go 1st by urself and enquire greatly on the opportunities available. Dont start by uprooting ur family to the unknown. What business are you into now? Check it now and see if it's a viable option for you if not look for something else. You can be there by yourself testing the water(your spouse/family can pay you visit from time to time though). Nota bene: be vigilant of yahoo boys or wayo peoples in this forum frank33: |

Prayerfully decide if you would want to come to Abuja or relocate outside the country. Great advices have been given as regards places with decency and low cost life. You could consider Kubwa, Dutse, Gwarinpa/Dawaki, Lugbe if your focus is living in a place not far from the City Center. Orozo (Navy Estate) is a nice option to consider as suggested. With time, getting a land at Bwari is also in place. Land in Chukuku (Gwagwalada - Kuje Rd) is not also on a very high side, there is good electricity there as well. For a start, after deciding, you could travel down to Abuja for a survey as advice and study the terrain. Don't be in a hurry to invest. Study, get confirmation and then invest according to your strength and what you are passionate about. If you have someone you can temporarily put up with and connect with the nairalander that promised you a free ride, you can consider it as well. For further information or assistance regards a temporary base, on permission, you can privately reach out to someone or two whom your spirit pushes you towards. With God, Abuja is a nice place. Even in the furnace, the three men in the Holy Bible survived. frank33: 1 Like |

As an igbo man that want to start business in abuja, you don't need moving your family nor renting an accommodation first. Go and learn the trade of choice first. You can share a place with somebody. Whatever happens there will lead you to your next move. I'm not sure you are business inclined when you don't know this abc of business and relocation. If care is not taken, you will look for that money in 2 yrs and will not see it. 3 Likes |

With 10m as an Igbo guy, first of all align with your people here, get a house in nyanya axis, Karo, àpò or kubwa for 2years, you can get a decent 2bed for 2m,buy a car if you don't have one already, rent a shop.. Go into electronics esp phone laptop or building materials business.. After 3 years you will fone and thank me, plus make sure u av a decent school for ur kids.. Not too expensive tho.. Plus is ur wife working or going to work? If you coming to Abuja cos of economic situation I will rather advise you to consider Lagos.. You will double your 10m under 3 years in lag.. With discipline and dedication. |

Rubbiish: You sure have a point but then, the question to ask is: Is the economy of that state public or private sector driven? Do you know why Lagos is thriving? The private sector drives the economy. In many states, the people depend on salaries that’s even so meagre. You can count big companies with your fingers. In the case of Abuja, there’s an appreciable presence of the private sector, but the economy is still mostly driven by people’s dependency on government affiliation through contracts and employment. @OP Consider food business, you’ll hardly ever go wrong with it. Bolt/Uber too, but be wary of where you taxi people at night. It can be pretty dangerous in isolated places. If you’re good at networking, try penetrate government circles, over time you’ll start getting contracts. Overall, depend on God for direction. 3 Likes 1 Share |
