/ If you want to live long and happily ever after, make money and move back to Nigeria. Get a foreign passport so that you can fly out of Nigeria at will. Put mechanism in place to earn future earnings in dollars/Euro/Pound Sterling. Nigeria is bad is for poor people only. When you hang around the right people in Nigeria, you will be wondering if they live in the same Nigeria that most of you come here to bitch and whine about everyday. / 22 Likes 1 Share |

Wáhàla everywhere. Can't we just let people live without talking about japa always. Indians wey japa pass us no dey make noise. Go and check those people complaining of bills very well, most of them no dey pay electricity bill for their house in Nigeria and they are used to MTN cheat right from time. . Normal normal, na borehole/well dey all of us house. So alot are not used to paying bills like that since we are used to our government way of doing their shit. 4 Likes |

There is this couple living in the US. The man works in IT and is paid $90/ hr. The wife is an NP and makes $100/hr So their combined income is about $195 /hr They both work 12 hours a day to make $2340 every day . After taxes they take home about $2000 every day When I did the conversion I realized it was about #1.5M naira they make daily I said to myself, a big boy in a good office in Nigeria who makes #500k monthly would have to work 3 months to see this amount that this couple make daily It was then I understood what people really meant when they say this life no balance 9 Likes |

ednut1: Right. They’re basically saying that feeding and providing for your children should be optional and that you shouldn’t have to take care of your offspring. But these are the same people scolding other people abroad for what they say is living off the government. |

So you were expecting to move to a country where there's high level security, void of useless kidnappings and religious slaughtering and not pay tax Do you think the cameras and police are run without electricity or pay? You want to live irresponsibly, impregnating women up and down and not pay child support? Your write up is RIDICULOUS to say the least! Living too long in Nigeria and getting used to doing things the wrong way have affected you psychologically. Seek professional help and maybe try to be grateful for having the opportunity many seek... or just return to the hopelessness Nigeria has waiting for you okay? Mchew!!! 4 Likes |

Abi1985: I just had a baby few weeks ago, guess how much I paid for a cesarean section, private room, private nurse, a carton of enfamil baby food, a carton of baby diapers, a carton of adult female diapers, a personal nurse for 3 whole days, a personal attendant for 3 whole days, 3 squared meals for 3 days, epidural injection, morphine, and a whole of other medications? $24. And you know what? That $24 is what it cost us to park our car in the parking lot for 3 days @ $8/day. So technically, the actual bill was 0. What’s funnier? We can claim back the #24 as a medically related expenditure when we file our taxes next year. Joke’s on who? You! 12 Likes |

Most of these people that always complain about abroad and start comparing Nigeria with saner climes only love the lawlessness of Nigeria. They feel, Nigeria is a lawless country where people don't obey orders. Thus, they see it as heaven on earth. For the fact that, they can't start misbehaving in abroad without being locked up, they always find ways to bring up topics like these. What's wrong in paying tax for quality services? Is it not the tax money they use to provide those quality services they offer their immigrants and citizens? We all know how people don't like paying tax in Nigeria. That's why I said, you people only love the lawlessness of Nigeria where you feel you can behave any how and nothing will happen. A lawless freedom any saner clime won't let you enjoy. Thus, the unfounded comparison. We too like lawlessness in this country. I no dey sha cuz I prefer a working society than a lawless one. It is said that where there is no order, break down of laws occurs. That's the case of Nigeria. Abi1985 2 Likes |
