With all eyes on lagos, one thing they shouldn't forget is that there are yorubas in other parts of the country too. And it wont be nice if other regions replicate the gesture and start seeing the yorubas as destitutes whose structures must be demolished

Seems you think that the igbos are not important in the scheme of things in the affairs of governance or you have nailed your conviction to the effect that you take igbos as your sworn enemies. What is glaring here is hatred and one wonders what this hatred is about.

Illiterates are many on Nairaland.

Someone who's educated should have understood that the buildings were marked since 2016.
Looking at the picture, you will see that those buildings could collapse anytime.

Put intelligence first before tribalism.

The dilapidated buildings are owned by Yorubas. The Igbos only rented the shops. The Igbos will only go rent shops in another building and have nothing to lose.
This is for those who think it's an Igbo -Yoruba feud.

Make una ronu o!

your logic is flawed... You are expressing victim mentality ... There are many Yorubas in alaba, many of those buildings belong to Yorubas so where are you calculating your own from ?

Safety First.

The safety of the lives of the occupants of these distressed buildings is far more important.

I applaud Lagos for preserving the lives of potential victims of distressed buildings in such a densely populated place.

Kudos to Lagos.
May God bless Nigeria for ever!

Here we go, right on queue ... Are you tacitly claiming that Igbos have a particular affinity for dangerously decrepit buildings? Why can't some of you just give the delusions of persecution a rest? Not everything is about you!
