Declare Oduduwa Republic so that Igbos will leave Lagos; they don't want to declare Oduduwa Republic because of proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits in the SE and SS.
Every other day; it's using tractors to bulldoze the shops of Igbos in Lagos. Even primitive people would not conduct government this way.
Lol! Onuman, you be fool. Read what you wrote and judge yourself. I gist you didn't read the write up at all, those buildings have been marked since 2016, not last year because I know you thought it is as a result of last election events. Governor Soludo is bringing buildings down day and night in Anambra, and nobody is complaining. Lagos' state government is even accommodating, dem no born any other tribes be it igbos or yorubas to do anywho for any State in the North, you go collect sharp, those guys no dy joke at all.

The dilapidated buildings are owned by Yorubas. The Igbos only rented the shops. The Igbos will only go rent shops in another building and have nothing to lose.
This is for those who think it's an Igbo -Yoruba feud.

So because he recognized that Lagos is Yorubas land, then he's free to occupy it?
Okay o brother, anything you say.

Why will you say this?
Igbos are good to die? Safety first, you have to be alive to make money, most houses in Lagos are very old.
Igbos should not see it as victimisation, Sanwolu is too big to victimise any one,
Please igbos in Lagos should comply, and follow the necessary precautions required for the demolition.
From 2016 to now is enough to get a new shop, and relocate.
Life is worth than Gold.

Safety First.

The safety of the lives of the occupants of these distressed buildings is far more important.

I applaud Lagos for preserving the lives of potential victims of distressed buildings in such a densely populated place.

Kudos to Lagos.
May God bless Nigeria for ever!

Thank you sir. Lagos will always do the right thing no matter whose ox is gored.

His ilk who want to spoil Lagos will eventually leave Lagos and return home with nothing. Absolutely nothing and even poorer than they came to Lagos because they will not be blessed by Lagos, a land they wish evil.
The earlier they leave Lagos for their state to do as they like, the better for them.
If you are Ibo as you claim, are you in Lagos doing business in Alaba?

Yorubas do not challenge the political structure and traditions of any state in Nigeria. Igbos should know that there will be an equal and opposite reaction when you take the Yorubas for granted because they welcomed you openly in Lagos.

…they showed us the ethnic card and we will play along with them…You can’t call Lagos a no man’s land… promote your own, an Igbo man that doesn’t speak Yoruba and doesn’t think Yoruba but with Yoruba lineage to be governor because you have the Endsars momentum to undermine the political tradition of the state…there will be consequences. We will put you all in your rightful place as visitors.
This is the guise yorubas have been operating under. Unfortunate most yorubas have ur mentality. Cos igbos exercise their right to vote in their numbers like every citizen doesn't mean they're dragging control of ur state. U obviously can't compete & cannot stand the organic social dominance life style of igbos hence the pull down syndrome.

Why do you guys always want to turn everything to tribalism?
If the building is truly distressed
The government is right to demolish it
No matter who owns it
Stop Acting as if you are doing anybody.

Eko o gba gbere o!

I don't support ignoring several notices, any property that pose risk should be brought down.

Having said that, I have observed how your brand of tribalism have risen to a level of nothing but pure hatred, remember hate is a burden, the earlier you help yourself the better.

Lagos govt should demolish entire Alaba market, not just those 356 buildings marked for demolition.

This was a marshy terrain. We need that marsh back. Demolish and remove the debris, allow the natural ecology to return.
