It's not only Igbos that are selling in Alaba market, in as much I don't trust the APC gov but people should stop blowing ethic sentiment. Portraying Yoruba to be demons.

Safety First.

The safety of the lives of the occupants of these distressed buildings is far more important.

I applaud Lagos for preserving the lives of potential victims of distressed buildings in such a densely populated place.

Kudos to Lagos.
May God bless Nigeria for ever!

With all eyes on lagos, one thing they shouldn't forget is that there are yorubas in other parts of the country too. And it wont be nice if other regions replicate the gesture and start seeing the yorubas as destitutes whose structures must be demolished
Yorubas do not challenge the political structure and traditions of any state in Nigeria. Igbos should know that there will be an equal and opposite reaction when you take the Yorubas for granted because they welcomed you openly in Lagos.

…they showed us the ethnic card and we will play along with them…You can’t call Lagos a no man’s land… promote your own, an Igbo man that doesn’t speak Yoruba and doesn’t think Yoruba but with Yoruba lineage to be governor because you have the Endsars momentum to undermine the political tradition of the state…there will be consequences. We will put you all in your rightful place as visitors.

We need to tolerate each other, anyone who knows alaba Int'l mkt very well should know that the road leading to that mkt is more deadly than the said buildings. From volks junction to the mkt, the road is nothing to write home about and the mkt is not up to 2km away from ojo LGA sectariate.
It's better to do the road first before talking about buildings which none has never collapsed since the said 2016 but allot of accidents that claimed lives and caused disabilities has occurred since then.

It good but if it's for vindictive purpose it will backfire.

You cannot frustrate an IGBO MAN. Wike failed in his plan to close lkokwu. Nigeria FAILED with their N40 after the war. Rivers abondon house agenda didn't stop lgbos from owning major lands and real estate in Rivers.

Again houses that poses risk to lives should be demolished if it's with good intention.

Interesting! cheesy

I thought Igbos had bought up the whole place cheesy
seems you have never been to Alaba Market. Majority of the shops and plazas are owned by Igbos. The ones that wants to demolished are located at the outskirts of Alaba near the magistrate court. They are owned by Yorubas who rented it to Igbos.
