Bring out your own grid system. It's not by making noise. I'll prove umuahia is far better than most cities in Nigeria..

#umuahia
This looks like a concrete jungle that needs to be nuked and built from the scratch.
One of the ugliest and dirtiest places in the world.

Your brothers and sisters living in different states in south west who knows Yoruba towns and cities are developed are reading this your comment and they know you are just ignorant, 80 percent of Yoruba settlement are developed, all those old settlement in the city center that you people post while you post images of newly developing areas in your states are just lies and propaganda, a single state in Yoruba land will normally have at least 4-6 well developed towns and cities apart from the state capital.

Development start from the city center and spread out, on the outskirts of those old settlements are modern buildings and infrastructures. You don't hear a Yoruba person saying they are going to their villages during festive period because their place is already a town or city, not bush villages that are rampant and norm in the south east apart from their state capital.

The way you guys spew lies without shame is quite disgusting. Which Yoruba towns and cities are developed? Can you name them? Yoruba land has the worst urban planning/development in the entire West Africa! What you call towns and cities are nothing but absolute slums.

SE has far better planned and more aesthetically beautiful cities than the rustic towns filled with mud houses and brown roofs in SW.

You're the ignorant one yet you have the guts to call another person ignorant. Igbos travel to their ancestral places to celebrate festivities. It is due to a culture of homecoming among them and not because their ancestral places are villages. Owerri indigenes also return to the city during Christmas or Easter, does it now mean Owerri is a village?

I have traversed SW states and I can tell you that what you call towns/cities are an eyesore, slums!

I dare you to mention the towns or cities you have in SW that isn't over 80% slum. Is it Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Ibadan, ogbomosho, iseyin, ore, ijebu ode etc. These places are the worst in Nigeria. The terrible thing about you guys is that you all are comfortable living in those shanties that have remained stuck in time. But Igbos are not like that, they will keep challenging themselves to keep getting better.

In less than 10 years time, at least now that electricity problem will soon be solved, get ready to start seeing millionaire cities in the East with high rises stretching as far as the eyes can see, such as in Aba, Onitsha, Owerri etc.

You guys should rather be ashamed at the deplorable condition of SW urban areas. A Kenyan guy saw drone pictures of Ibadan and asked "how can an urban center the size of Nairobi be filled with slums completely".

Lol, the Igbos you see in your slum settlements are capitalist adventurers taking advantage of your laziness. I personally can't live in any of your slums. If I couldn't stand Lagos due to its congestion, is it slums like ibadan, ogbomosho, Oshogbo or ore that I can live in?

Stop deceiving yourselves, capitalist adventurers can thrive even in the worst places on Earth, provided they're cashing out. That's why Chinese people are all over Nigeria too, even in the most remote villages.

You will wake up in 2030 and still discover you're living in slums while we Igbos will be living in modern cities.

Every town develops at its own pace.
It's only in Igbo land where inept state governors use almost all the development funds of a state in building infrastructures only in the state capital to have a beautiful state capital while the rest of the state is abandoned to decay.

Please don't copy the governors of Imo state. Orlu and Okigwe had near similar levels of urbanisation with Owerri in 1976 when Imo state was created. But inept governors and their politicians who know only state capital have reduced Orlu and Okigwe to rot.
hmmmm okigwe. This is the worst place that i have ever been to. Omor.

Even if you go to Bayelsa, you will see fine places more than Umuahia...the glorified village... Gov Otti.
Everybody knows that Ibadan city even with its old side, is more developed than the entire SE Igboland.
If you can post just 10 videos of good places in the entire Igboland, people will take you serious.

This is Ibadan that is very much developed the Igboland.

Stop lying. Driving from Aba through Osisioma to Umuahia and then Government house is one of the best intercity roads in Nigeria. However beyond roads there's nothing in Akwaibom. For example show aerial view of Uyo and you'll notice only one or 2 structures mostly Government owned as the only development.
