The National Vice President said: “Nobody has imported petrol since the removal of subsidy even NNPC did not import.

“We are all using the old stock. But I know probably this month there will be new stock if not it may create scarcity.

“The government should not allow the fuel to get scarce. They should ensure they bring new stock. That is what we are expecting.”

The removal of the fuel subsidy has proven that close to half of the imported petrol were being snuggled out, this that Nigeria as a country is not secured at all n the citizens are now being punished for the gross failures of government and governance, the customs should be reformed to CUSTOMS AND BORDER SECURITY SERVICE (CBSS),more personnel should be recruited into it n trained n be provided with the necessary equipment to do thier job,the police border patrol should be disbanded,if our borders are well secured many of our security n socioeconomic problems would be mitigated.

The person they interviewed is even expecting govt and not marketers to import the fuel.

By now you should know the name of the game.

The petrol marketers will collude to Create false scarcity to force prices up after all the government is not interested in protecting the masses from exploitation. Even with the removal of the subsidy, Petrol marketers are still manipulating their meters and selling adulterated fuel because the government is not interested in checking such unwholesome practices.

This is the expected outcome. Demand is at an all-time low, prices may crash if the trends continue. It's all about purchasing power and the scale of preference, now scale of neccesity in Nigeria.

Forget that crashing thing , Kerosene demand is very low ,why Is the price still expensive ?

I am very sure we can not consume 40 million litres per day in Nigeria. Let's continue to watch the drama. We will soon start seeing the real figures.

No. It suggests that Nigerians are getting poorer. Purchasing power has reduced

9jatriot:
That seems to suggest that a large percentage of the fuel usage in the country were for our neighbors.
————————-

You are both correct. Posters above. 20 million. Reduction in daily consumption means about 15 million goes to neighboring countries and maybe 5 million less as a result of reduction in purchasing power. Don’t forget it’s a necessity so reduction in purchasing power can only affect it in a small percentage

Two things it's either the government release this guy's to be dialogue by the citizens for us to really get the true price
Or release them to citizens for proper biting as head straightner
