You make dumb and stupid statements. Did Nigeria ever have manufacturing or production capacity? Where is the power to start the machinery not to talk of keeping it running? Advice, you use your brain to think before speaking so that you don't come across as foolish.

Is it really about enabling environment or Nigerians just have a sucker taste for foreign made goods

Enabling environment or Not innoson motors are producing locally designed sleek cars at cheap price compared to foreign tokunbo cars but yet a Nigeria prefer to go spend #10m on toyata or honda tokunbo than buy a brand new innoson saloon.

If innoson could get power to produce any other competitors will find power tew

There is no part of Nigeria you want to send goods via road that it won't get there .. except you are not ready or serious about it.
We might not have the best of roads but there are roads connecting enough.

Asides farmers threatened by insurgence, there are merely no industries or companies threatened by insecurity.

Demand & taste are major determinant factors of production, But Nigerians will always pick foreign over locally made
Bro where is your factory and the goods you produce? I want to patronize you.

Open market you mean, cos if you are so serious about getting a innoson part i am 100% sure you can get it from the manfacturer since they are in Nigeria ... besides if not for a careless drive a new car can last 8yrs without changing any part asides brake, oil filter and Oil.

If you can find innoson motor in the Open market it is becos there are no scraps, 2010 my father bought hyundia it was difficult accessing parts but demand as increase over time you can now find hyundia part easily, if the demand increase for innoson motors today open market will adopt the brand..

#Market serves demands
Why can't he has a distribution network for the car parts.

I think the government can solve that. I don't know if there's a possibility of the government banning the importation of tokumbo vehicles. Imagine if this were the case, don't u think Nigerians might start looking towards Innoson?

This Mr. Farinto is very intelligent. He accepts the reality on ground.

His expose on the roundtripping that flourished under Buhari is testament to the monstrous corruption that thrived right under his nose.

Buhari enabled it by meddling in the exchange rates and Emefiele entrenched it by not resisting it and crying out. At least, Lamido Sanusi cried out when $20bn or so disappeared into thin air.

Emefiele just sst there and let the economy crumble.
Someone should tell me the difference between
Buhari and Tinubu from the same party. Same structure of criminals? Why are they trying so hard to dissociate the two. How is it a past government?

1) At this juncture of our fucking national life, can we just press a reset button and apply Soludo solutions to our Fiscal and monetary policy

2) Am becoming confused and it's economically embarrassing just to say the least of it- migraine

3) Soludo solutions says when we yeye our naira to the point of it becoming a tissue paper, the alternative to do is to denominalize the currency , in this case of the naira by removing two Zeros from it and making a dollar to equal 7 or 8 Naira.
All things being equal, appointing a good manager as a MoF and CBN Gov
to manage this tortous track of economic depression can see us out in prosperity within the shortest time frame work. Nevertheless, upholding Fiscal and monetary discipline are a watchword.

4) Tinubu should as a matter of urgency find a way to accommodate Soludo solutions into his workplan Asap. Time is of essence. Soludo magic is the way to go now .

Govt can't restrict more than they've already implemented .. the high import duties are suppose to disuade foreign apetite but it is not working because our borders are porous and customs are corrupt, naa money e go chop
moreover foreign product are much more available than local goods in our market

The fact that it is more costlier to produce goods locally in Nigeria is not making the price of local product sound like life saving e.g the price between a Nig bag of rice & foreign rice is not disausive enough.
Govt has to implement policies that will guarantee availability and subsidize raw materials for local manufacturers

PRICE and AVAILABILITY are machineries for hijacking the market.

Capping ke, technically cost of production in Nig is high for those in that line, lets be sincere innoson cars can't be cheaper than they are.
An average naija man drives toyota muscle, corrola these cars are above 10yrs but a naija man is ready to splash 4.5m on a toyota than buy a teae nylon carris of same price.

It is not really about affordability when it comes to foreign and naija made cars ... taste is the decider most times.

That i am not blaming or cursing the govt does not mean i am defending the govt, however in subject matters like what we are discussing the behavior of the Buyer/consumers gives a precognition that is key to everything.

Did you call or have anyone that called innoson to be major distributor and IVM decline, manufacturers like that are open to distributors & dealer But the problem is nobody wants to deal with a product that has very low demand.

Acceptances is what generate distribution network, until innoson get *ACCEPTANCE 1st"

Again you are not being realistic here. The tokunbo cars cost 4.5m right. Please show me an innoson vehicle of that same price if it is noteworthy to use.

Unintelligent talk!

Emefiele was subsidizing your Naira so most of you could do business without shouting, but people like you just want blood!

Banks were using the disguise of foreign transactions to make money from the subsidy!

Banks Na another problem for this country!

They will turn you and I back from having access to those funds while enabling big men and their people and make their own as I stated above!

E.g remember students couldnt fund school fees above $10k but some banks withheld those fees and people got expelled?

Yeah do the math.

What you're saying is a complete contradiction.

It's like Emefiele said 1 + 1 is 4 for your benefit to make life better.

You'll ever live in a house built on a foundation of 1 + 1 is 4 no matter how well intent the builder is.

Emefiele wasn't the one that started subsidizing th3 Naira

Emefiele wasn't the one that started subsidizing the Naira. It was Buhari who pegged the exchange rate upon assumption of office in a foolish attempt to stem the Naira depreciating at the official rate. Once he did that, I knew the economy was finished and my prediction proved true over the past 8 years.

When entities could not get enough dollars from the CBN because it didn't have enough to supply at the pegged rate, they resorted to the black market and a massive depreciation occurred to there..

Sanusi, Utomi, Soludo and the Nigerian private sector all asked for a revision to the former system but Buhari would not budge.

There was a time the official rate was 199 and black market 520. It was that bad. That was economic illiteracy on steroids

The new system is much better. The 3 rates, Exporters window, BDC and black market are so close that round tripping would now be senseless.

The system hasn't been reviewed. Once people flood the IE window the rate will crash and the black market will rise and we are back to square 1
