Bank of America, you can advise us, but we will institute policies for our own good just like your investment choices are for your profits.

Aggressive taxation does not engender sustainable growth Mr President.

Production does.

Aggressive taxation does not stop production provided there are production-friendly monetary policies in place and a stable operating environment.

Since you have better ideas why don't you put them forward here and perhaps it will get to the president.
What a load of nonsense.
Folks will just come here and type some dumb hyperbolic nonsense and think they have said something intelligent.

I must commend you for responding to that gibberish.

Nigerias tax to GDP ratio is just over 10% while Africa's average is 16%.

Wish someone can whisper these words in Bola Tinubu's ears.

I respectfully disagree

The problem is, Nigeria does not have enough money. And oil is no longer producing enough cash to sustain us, and hasn't for decades. Our population is large, and our tax to gdp ratio is low.

And our productive capacity is hindered by bad power, which is hindered by discos and gencos not being able to raise enough cash to fix power.

So you think paying to remind the Fg that you are the owner of your car every year is a good taxation regime right?

I do not agree with you, the 1st thing to do since there is no cash is to reduce the cost of governance!

May God strengthen your resolve, Mr President, and may your Haters and the enemies of our Country be consigned to their darkened rooms, hearing of your path-breaking achievements only, because they're DESTINED to be sightless, and so will not see the greatness of our Fatherland Nigeria during your tenure.

Got to raise some money now to improve our tax to gdp...and taxation is the way forward

(Sorry, but I can't see any other way out right now. Improving production is right, but it takes time).
